Packaging Instructions
These instructions are for customers who are returning their NEC display for service. Proper packaging is crucial to prevent shipping damage.
Original Factory Box
- Place the bottom filler in the box with labels facing up and an arrow pointing to the front.
- Insert the display into the box with the front matched up with the front of the box, stand side down.
- Place the top filler on the display with labels up and arrows pointing to the front. Ensure fillers are firm and tape the box securely.
Reconditioned Display Box (Generic Box)
- Sandwich the display between two generic foam pieces, ensuring the back of the display aligns with the stand indentation.
- Place the display and foam fillers into the box stand-side down.
- Ensure a snug fit in the box and tape securely.
LCD Displays
These instructions are for customers who are returning their NEC display for service. Please note that the
customer will be held solely responsible for shipping damage that occurs due to the use of any packaging material
other than the standard NEC packaging. If the customer no longer has the original packaging, proper packaging
can be obtained from Sharp by calling 800.632.4662.
Original factory box:
Depending on the displays, the fillers will be on the left and right or top and bottom. Please pack the display accordingly.
Top and bottom fillers
- Place the bottom filler in the box, making sure the labels are facing up. Point the arrow to the front of the box. The face of the LCD is the front.
- Place the display into the box with the front of the display matched up with the front of the box. Make sure the display is put into the box stand side down. Also, make sure the display rests firmly on the fillers.
- Place the top filler on the display with the labels up and the arrows pointing to the front of the box. Make sure the fillers are firmly in place so the display doesn’t move during shipping. Tape the top of the box securely with shipping tape.
Left and Right fillers
- Insert the display into the left filler with the LCD towards the front. Arrows on the filler indicate the front.
- Place the right filler on the display with the labels up and the arrows pointing to the front of the box. Insert the display and fillers into the box. Make sure the fillers are firmly in place so the display doesn’t move during shipping. Tape the top of the box securely with shipping tape.
Reconditioned Display Box (Generic Box)
- If you have requested a shipping box from Sharp or you are returning a display that has been serviced, you may have a Reconditioned Display Box. The fillers and boxes are made to accommodate a wide variety of models. The filters are made out of sealed air foam and plastic, which enable them to conform to the many different shapes of displays.
- Sandwich the display between the two generic foam pieces. The back of the display goes into the foam piece that has the indentation of the stand.
- Place the display and foam fillers into the box stand-side down.
- Make sure the display and fillers fit snuggly in the box and won’t move during shipping. Tape the top of the box securely with shipping tape.
