Check a documented system

What’s on the rating plate?

Matching ICP-brand HVAC families; select/confirm model when requested.

Spaces and dashes are accepted. Check O/0 and I/1, and keep any leading zeros.

Checks ENERGY STAR model records and searches manuals separately from the serial. Certification records do not establish this unit’s manufacture date.

Known product context (optional)

Choose a system only when it matches the product family and its documentation. A purchase year or a manual’s publication date does not establish a manufacturing date.

Equipment records

Check parts and warranty information

Request the available supplier record for this serial. Returned replacement parts describe components; they do not identify the complete equipment model.

The captured equipment records page offers serial lookup but does not publish a fixed serial pattern. Enter the equipment serial exactly as printed, preserving letters and meaningful punctuation.

Checks ENERGY STAR model records and searches manuals separately from the serial. Certification records do not establish this unit’s manufacture date.

Serial guidance and coverage

Use the field explicitly marked serial number on the equipment data plate. Check the specific model manual for its location; the captured source does not establish one universal position.

  • Serial dates and format matches do not establish current warranty coverage, purchase date, authenticity or ownership.
  • A missing equipment records result does not establish an invalid serial number; manufacturer and model coverage vary.

Scope matters

Supported formats
and historical limits.

  • Manufacture date is distinct from installation, purchase and warranty start dates.
  • The date code does not identify a full model, capacity or configuration. Enter the separate model from the rating plate for manual search.
  • ICP generations do not all share the same date ordering. A parent company relationship alone cannot identify the correct serial format.
  • Pre-2000 Heil-Quaker, Comfortmaker/Singer and other legacy OEM formats need additional primary sources.

Legacy ICP: factory letter, year and week

hvac

Factory letter + YYWW + five sequence digits. Official DLF4/DLC4 service manual gives V102212345, while gas-pack recall gives L004112345. Conservative documented-era coverage 2000-2012. This rule does not assert that every ICP product used it through the present.

Selected D5C ductless models: V year/week

hvac

Model-specific ductless service guide: V YY WW 40000-49999, sequence resets after 49999. Published 2017 example and 2025-hosted service guide; do not interpret V as a factory location. Select/confirm the D5CPRAH or D5CVRAH family.

Selected R-454B models: week/year and site

hvac

2026 ICP R-454B variable-speed service manual prints 0118E00001 using WWYY before plant. Model context is required because this is not an official replacement rule for all legacy ICP products; 2018 is the manual example, not an asserted refrigerant launch year.

Reading your result

ICP lookup questions

Why does the year code match more than one year?

Some systems reuse letters or only encode the last one or two year digits. Every supported interpretation is retained. A decade supplied from reliable records can narrow the reading; the tool does not automatically pick the newest year.

Does the serial identify my exact model?

Usually the model is a separate plate field. Where published serial ranges actually identify a model, the result shows model candidates and links to their manuals. Overlapping ranges remain ambiguous.

Can I share the result?

After a lookup, the address includes the serial in a fragment beginning with #serial=. Use “Copy share link” to share the serial and selected context. Opening the link runs the same lookup. The fragment is not a query-string result page.
