Description
Installation of SCANGRIP UV Curing lights (like the UV-EXTREME, NOVA-UV, or UV-GUN) focuses on safety positioning and mounting rather than hardwiring, as most units are plug-and-play or battery-operated.

Preparation & Safety
- Safety Gear: UV radiation is hazardous to eyes and skin. Always use UV-protective glasses (SCANGRIP part no. 03.5759) and avoid looking directly into the beam.
- Distance: Maintain a minimum distance of 0.5m from flammable surfaces.
- Environment: Use these lights indoors only. The operating temperature range is -10°C to +40°C.
Mounting Options
SCANGRIP UV lights are designed for flexible placement to achieve the correct curing angle:
- Wheel Stand/Tripod: The UV-EXTREME and UV-GUN can be mounted on a SCANGRIP Wheel Stand. Use the Mounting Bracket accessory to fix the light at heights between 126cm and 230cm.
- Magnetic/Bracket Mounting: Models like the NOVA-UV S feature a flexible bracket with strong built-in magnets, allowing you to attach them directly to metal surfaces or tilt them on a floor/bench.
- Handheld: The UV-LIGHT and UV-PEN are designed for manual use with ergonomic grips and clips for work belts.
Charging & Power
- Initial Charge: For rechargeable models, fully charge the battery before first use until all indicator bars are lit.
- Cable Care: If using a corded model (like UV-EXTREME), protect the cable from oil, heat, and sharp edges.
- Battery Maintenance: If the light is stored for more than a month, fully charge it first. Recharge every 30 days if not in use to prevent deep discharge.

- Fully recharge the lamp until all indicator bars are lit before first use
- When battery indicator is on: lamp charging
- When all indicator bars are lit: charging completed
- Do not leave the battery without charge for an extended period
- Deep discharge risks damaging the battery
- When not using work light for a long period of time, recharge every 30 days
- Do not stare into the operating lamp
- Do not use the lamp near a naked flame
- If lamp will be stored for one month or more, please fully charge it prior to storage
- Always replace the battery with an original SCANGRIP battery
- Do not disassemble the light
- Only charge the lamp indoors at min 0 °C
USE
- Turn the lamp on and off by pushing the power button
- Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds for battery level
Discarded electrical products must not be disposed of together with household waste.
Please use recycling facilities. Ask your local authority or retailer for advice on recycling.
- The battery must be removed from the device before it is broken up
- The device must be disconnected from the mains when the battery is removed
- Please dispose of the battery safely

- This SCANGRIP product is guaranteed for a period of 2 (two) years from date of purchase. This guarantee shall become invalid if the product has been misused, tampered with or accidentally damaged.
- If the product is defective, we undertake to repair or replace the product or any part of it that is defective; or wholly or partly recompense you if they are defective.
- This guarantee is in addition to other rights and remedies available to consumers, all of which are given by us to you if you are a consumer. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian or New Zealand Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
