Learn how to set up and use SMS / MMS messages with advanced messaging on the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite.

Change advanced messaging settings

1. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
2. Tap the Messages icon.
3. Tap Menu > Settings > More Settings.
4. Select the following options to modify your settings:
   • Text Messages
     • Show when delivered (on / off)
     • Input mode
       • GSM alphabet
       • Unicode
       • Automatic        
   • View messages on SIM card
   • Message Center
   • Multimedia Messages
     • Show when delivered (on / off)
     • Show when read (on / off)
     • Auto retrieve (on / off)
     • Auto retrieve while roaming (on / off)
     • Restrictions
   • Push Messages (on / off)
   • Remove location from shared images (on / off)
   • Delete old messages (on / off)

Turn advanced messaging on / off

To use advanced messaging, you must have VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling enabled. Advanced messaging is auto-enabled and cannot be turned off.
