- Turn on the Bluetooth function on the audio device, search and select VX6.1 to start pairing. Most devices (iPhone, iPad, Bluetooth adapter, etc.) do not require a password. If prompted for a passkey, enter 0000 (four zeros). and press OK. Some devices may also ask you to accept the connection.
- After about 3-60 seconds, the pairing will be completed. Once successfully connected, the blue PAIR LED will remain lit. If pairing fails, please repeat above steps.
- With the volume control on your Bluetooth device turned up, play some music, and slowly raise the VX6.1 BLUETOOTH VOLUME control until you have reached the desired level. * Bluetooth memory function: When the VX6.1 is powered off and on again, it will automatically attempt to reconnect to the last successfully paired device.

Resound VX6.1 Controls and Connections

- INPUT 1/2- XLR – 1/4″ combo input for connecting a microphone or a device with a line level signal.
- MIC/GTR/LINE Switch – Adjusts the gain and input impedance of the INPUT 1 or 2 for a
microphone or guitar or line level device. - XPD WIRELESS Input*– Connect the optional Samson XPD digital wireless USB receiver to
this input. The wireless receiver gets its power from the VX6.1, so no additional power
supply is needed. - REVERB – Use the REVERB knobs to add an effect to a Mic or Line input on INPUT 1 or 2
channels.- The USB connector is for the Stage XPD receiver only. The connector is not designed to charge smartphones, tablets, or similar devices.
Resound VX6.1 Controls and Connections
5&6. Equalizer Control Knobs- The TREBLE knob controls the amount of treble applied to each channel. The channel’s high frequency response is flat when the knob is in the center detent (12:00) position. Rotating the knob to the right will boost the channel’s high frequency response above 10 kHz up to 12 dB, and rotating it towards the left will cut the high frequency response up to 12 dB. The BASS knob controls the amount of bass applied to each channel. The channel’s low frequency response is flat when the knob is in the center detent (12:00) position.
Rotating the knob to the right will boost the channel’s low frequency response below 100 Hz up to 12 dB, and rotating it towards the left will cut the low frequency respons up to 12 dB.
Volume: Controls the level of the INPUT 1-3 or MASTER.
PAIR Button: Short-press PAIR button to enable pairing mode to connect to a Bluetooth audio device, or to another VX6.1 in TWS mode.
After Bluetooth is connected, hold the PAIR button for 3 seconds to disconnect the present
Bluetooth connection and make it discoverable for other audio devices.
LINK Button: The Bluetooth TWS (True Wireless Stereo) button.
Hold the LINK button for 3 seconds to initialize a TWS connection.
After LINK is connected, hold LINK button on either the left VX6.1 or the right VX6.1 for 3 seconds to disconnect the LINK between the two speakers.
PAIR Indicator: Displays the Bluetooth pairing status of the VX6.1 system.
LINK Indicator: Displays the Bluetooth TWS status of the VX6.1 system.
1/8″ AUX-: For connecting the output of devices sụch as, MP3 player, mobile device, or any other line-level device, using a 3.5mm stereo audio cable.
RCA AUX: Connect a line-level device using an RCA stereo audio cable.
STATUS Indicator- This three-color indicator shows system status:
- Green: Signal is present at inputs.
- Blinking red: Input signal is clipping. Reduce the input level or channel volume.
- Yellow: Amplifier limiter is engaged to prevent clipping
- Solid red: Amplifier fault (overheating, over- or undervoltage, (Confirmed if red remains lit with Master at minimum.)
DSP: The VX6.1 has five preset EQ contour curves: MUSIC, LIVE, FLAT, SPEECH and DJ.
- MUSIC: Optimized for general music playback.
- LIVE: Tailored for live vocal and instrument reinforcement.
- FLAT: A neutral reference setting.
- SPEECH: For spoken word clarity with a high-pass filter.
- DJ: Features a dynamic bass boost at lower signal levels for recorded music.

Using Two Resound VX6.1 Systems
For larger sound reinforcement applications using a pair of Resound VX6.1 systems, there are three methods of connecting the systems.
Connect two Resound VX6.1 systems to a mixer
- Turn the Resound VX6.1 systems’ and mixer’s Power switches to the OFF positions.
- Turn the VOLUME controls on the rear panel of the Resound VX6.1 down, fully
counterclockwise. - Following the manufacturer’s instructions, connect the audio sources to your mixer.
- Connect either an XLR or 1/4″ cable from the output of your mixer to the INPUT 1 jack on the Resound VX6.1 top panel. Set the MIC/GTR/LINE switch to the LINE position.
- Connect the supplied power cables to the IEC sockets on the back of the Resound
VX6.1 systems. Plug the power cables into an AC outlet.
Note: Always make sure that the AC outlet is configured with the correct voltage as
indicated on the rear panel of the Resound VX6.1. - Switch the Resound VX6.1 POWER switches to the ON position.
- Run an audio signal from your mixer and check that you are getting a good level using
the mixer’s output meter. - Slowly raise the Resound VX6.1 INPUT 1 Volume controls until you have reached the desired level.
- If the volume from the speakers gets really loud, or you see the CLIP indicator blinking frequently, turn down the Volume control on the Resound VX6.1 a little until the CLIP indicator does not light, or only lights occasionally with signal peaks.
NOTE: Before plugging in and turning on, remember the “last on, first off” rule of powered audio gear – When powering up your system, be sure that all the wires are connected, first turn on your mixer and any other outboard gear, then turn on your Resound VX6.1. When powering down, turn off your Resound VX6.1 off first and then your mixer and outboard gear.

Using Two Resound VX6.1 Systems
Daisy-chaining two Resound VX6.1 systems
This method is convenient when you don’t have a mixer or have minimal input sources.
- Connect all of the input sources to the main Resound VX6.1 system.
- Connect an XLR cable from the MIX OUT output on the main Resound VX6.1 to the INPUT 1 of the second Resound VX6.1 system.
- On the second Resound VX6.1, set the INPUT 1 MIC/GTR/LINE switch to the LINE position.
- Set the level of the audio of the main Resound VX6.1 system.
Note: the MIX OUT level is before the Master control. - Raise the INPUT 1 Volume control of the second Resound VX6.1 until the desired output level is reached.
NOTE: When connecting another powered speaker system to the MIX OUT output of the Resound VX6.1, it is important to power on the main Resound VX6.1 system first, then power on the linked speaker. When powering down the system, it is recommended to turn off all linked speakers, then power off the main Resound VX6.1 system.

Using Two Resound VX6.1 Systems
Bluetooth True Wireless Stereo (TWS): Interconnection between two Resound VX6.1 systems
- Turn the INPUT 3 volume control on both VX6.1 systems counterclockwise to
minimum. Then turn on Left VX6.1. - Pair from audio device as per above Bluetooth pair instructions.
- Turn on Right VX6.1.
- Press PAIR button to make right VX6.1 discoverable.
- Hold LINK button on Left VX6.1 for 3 seconds.
- The speakers will link, and Left channel will have both PAIR and LINK LEDs lit, and Right channel will have only LINK LED lit.
- With the volume control on your Bluetooth device turned up, play some music, and slowly raise both VX6.1 INPUT 3 volume controls until you have reached the desired level.
Link memory function: If both systems are powered off and back on, they will remember the link and automatically reconnect. If the Left VX6.1 is turned on while the Right VX6.1 is off, it will stay in L+R mix mode. When the linked Right VX6.1 is turned on and links, they will switch to stereo mode.
