SAL PIXIE Aircon Controller User Guide

The PIXIE Aircon Controller is designed to control Daikin ducted
air conditioners with simple wiring to indoor units. Each aircon
indoor unit requires one PIXIE Aircon Controller.

Installation and Wiring

Please confirm compatibility before installation. Compatible
with Daikin indoor units (as of Nov 2025).

Preparation

Ensure the aircon system operates properly with its official
wired remote controller before proceeding with installation.

Installation

Turn OFF the electricity supply to the aircon.
Connect the PIXIE Aircon Controller to the indoor unit as per
the wiring diagram (no polarity requirement for P1 and P2
terminals).
Switch ON the electricity supply to the aircon and wait for it
to display and operate normally.
Check the LED indicators on the PIXIE Aircon Controller. When
the top indicator (Bluetooth) is white and the Stat indicator is
solid blue, the controller is ready for commissioning.
Add the PIXIE Aircon Controller to the PIXIE or PIXIE PLUS App
for smart operation.

Operation

Set Button

Single click: Turn ON/OFF the aircon.
When OFF, Mode LED flashes in white; when ON, Mode LED is solid
color.
Quickly 4 Clicks: Enters pairing mode. Top LED flashes blue and
white until pairing is finalized or after 30 seconds.

conditioner?

A: The PIXIE Aircon Controller is designed specifically for
Daikin ducted air conditioners. Ensure compatibility before
use.

Q: How do I know if the controller is ready for

4. Installation and Wiring
4.1 Daikin Indoor Unit Compatibility**

4.3 Installation
1. Turn OFF the electricity supply to the aircon. 2. Connect the PIXIE Aircon Controller to the indoor unit as per the wiring diagram (There is no polarity requirement for the P1 and P2 terminals). 3. Switch ON the electricity supply to the aircon, allow the aircon wired remote controller to initiate, wait until it displays and operates as normal.

4. Check the LED indicators on the PIXIE Aircon Controller. When the top indicator (Bluetooth) is white, and the Stat indicator is in solid blue, this controller is ready for commissioning.
5. Add this PIXIE Aircon Controller into PIXIE or PIXIE PLUS App, and enjoy the smart.

5. Operation
5.1 Set Button
Single click: Turn ON/OFF the aircon. When the aircon is OFF, the Mode LED indicator is flashing in white. When the aircon is ON, the Mode LED indicator is lit in a solid color. Quickly 4 Clicks: The PIXIE Aircon Controller enters pairing mode. In this mode, the top LED indicator (Bluetooth) will flash in blue and white, it will stop flashing when a pairing process is finalised or in 30 seconds, whichever occurs earlier.
Quickly 9 Clicks: Reset the PIXIE Aircon Controller to factory default. The top LED indicator (Bluetooth) will flash in blue and white for 3 seconds, then stay at white.
5.2 Ctrl Button (Control Button)
Ctrl Button (control button) is only functional when the aircon is ON. Single click: Switch the aircon to the next mode, cycling through COOL -> HEAT -> DRY -> FAN.
5.3 DIP switch
Please set to OFF for most applications.

6. How to download App
Scan QR code or go to App store (IOS) or Google Play (Android) to download the free PIXIE app to your smart phone. IOS: Requires IOS 6.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch Android: Requires Android 4.4 or above, devices must support Bluetooth 4.0 Specifications above are for reference only and may vary without prior notice.

7. Warranty
In accordance with SAL’s standard terms and conditions of sale, SAL warrant this product to be free from defects in materials and or workmanship for a period as stated below for goods not subject to incorrect installation, maintenance, operation, mishandling, environmental, unauthorised modifications or electrical operating conditions outside the nominated product specification as detailed in these installation instructions.
The benefits to you given by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies you have under law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

7.1 How to make a claim?
Step #1 Within 30 days of the fault discovery, please contact the original place of the SAL product purchase during standard (local) business hours, with the following information (a) proof of purchase (b) description and quantity of the claimed fault (c) address of installation. (d) operating hours of the product.
Step #2 It is then the responsibility of the original place of product purchase to report the matter to SAL aftersales;

Step #3 – Upon review of your claim and if the product is required to be returned to SAL for technical evaluation, then at the owners expense the product must be returned to SAL as per the above nominated locations.
Step #4 – Pending the evaluation, the claim will be validated resulting in the product being repaired or replaced with the same or best equivalent product at the discretion of SAL, or rejected if the product fault was found to be caused by conditions beyond the responsibility of SAL warranty obligations. Consideration of installation, product removal, return freight and or testing fees are not the responsibility of SAL.
