- Know your product. Read operator’s manual carefully. Learn its applications and limitations, as well as the specific potential hazards related to this product. Following this rule will reduce the risk of serious personal injury.
- The maximum weight of all the items placed on each accessory rail must not exceed 15 lbs.
- Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity for the accessory rails or accessories.
- Secure the accessory rail following the instructions in this operator’s manual. Failure to properly secure each accessory rail will reduce the accessory rail’s maximum weight capacity.
- To reduce risk of injury, do not use accessories which are not specifically designed and recommended by the manufacturer.
- These are hanging accessory rails. Do not use for any other purpose than supporting tools or products.
- Keep the area around the accessory rails clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
- Mount the accessory rails in a dry, indoor place protected from wet conditions.
- Keep accessory rails dry, clean, and free from oil and grease.
- Do not use the accessory rail if it is damaged or broken. A damaged or broken accessory rails may not mount securely and/or it might not provide adequate support for the items stored on it.
- When servicing this product, use only identical replacement parts. Use of unauthorized parts may create a risk of injury.
- Mount the accessory rails on smooth and flat surfaces capable of bearing the weight of accessory rails and the items stored on it.
- Use extra care when mounting the accessory rails. Keep proper footing and bal- ance at all times.
- Ensure the accessory rails are securely mounted. Make sure they do not rock, slide, or move before storing products or tools.
- Always wear eye protection with side shields marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1 during installation. Following this rule will reduce the risk of serious personal injury.
- Do not allow children or untrained individuals to use these accessory rails.
- Store idle power tools out of the reach of children
- SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS. Refer to them frequently and use them to instruct other users. If you loan someone this product, also loan these instructions.

WARNING:
To reduce the risk of injury, do not attempt to use this product until you have read thoroughly and understand completely this operator’s manual and the operator’s manual for any power tools used.
PACKING LIST
LINK™ Accessory Rails (2), Operator’s Manual, #10 5/8 in. PH2 bolts (4), #10 nuts (4), #10 T25 screws (4), drywall anchors (4)
TOOLS NEEDED (NOT INCLUDED)
Drill, level, 1/8 in. and 11/32 in. drill bits and T25 drive bit, pencil, hammer, adjustable wrench and Phillips screwdriver
MOUNTING THE LINK™ ACCESSORY RAILS
See Figures 1 – 3.
WARNING:
Only install screws into sound structural supports (such as studs and drywall anchors) in areas where no electrical wires, utility cables, pipes, or other obstructions are located. Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, electrical shock, or other serious personal injury.
To mount using drywall anchors:
- Place the accessory rail against the wall.
- Level the accessory rail.
- Mark both screw holes of the accessory rail.
NOTE: Mark two level holes that are 5-5/16” apart. - Remove the accessory rail and, using a drill, make 11/32 in. pilot holes through both marks.
NOTE: In case of stud, do not use anchor but instead use 1/8 in. pilot holes. - Insert anchors into the two pilot holes.
NOTE: Use your fingers to squeeze and press the anchor into the pilot hole. Tap the head of the anchor lightly with a hammer until it is flush with the wall. - Place the accessory rail back on the wall in the same location as before.
- Secure the accessory rail to the wall using the #10 T25 screws into drywall anchors.
- Check installation by verifying that the accessory rail is level and secure to the wall.
- Repeat steps to mount additional accessory rails.
NOTE: You can align multi-STM501s using the alignment tab. See figure 1. To mount onto solid wood surface: - Place the accessory rail against a solid wood surface.
- Level the accessory rail.
- Mark both screw holes of the accessory rail.
- Remove the accessory rail and, using a drill, make 1/8 in. pilot holes through both marks.
- Place the accessory rail back on the wall in the same location as before.
- Insert the screws through the holes in the rail.
- Check installation by verifying that the accessory rail is level and secure to the wall.
- Repeat steps to mount additional accessory rails.
NOTE: You can align multi-STM501s using the alignment tab. See figure 1. To mount onto LINK™ cabinet: - Locate the two outer pre-drilled holes on the sides of the LINK™ cabinet.
- Align the holes in the LINK™ accessory rails with the holes on LINK™ cabinet.
NOTE: The LINK™ accessory rails should be mounted with the RYOBI name facing up. - Insert the bolts through the holes in the rail.
- Place the nuts onto bolts and tighten.
- Use a Phillips screwdriver and adjustable wrench to tighten securely.
ATTACHING/REMOVING ACCESSORIES
See Figures 4 – 5.
The LINK™ accessory rails are provided to use in attaching LINK™ compatible bins to create a storage space for small items needed for a project. The maximum weight of all the items placed on each accessory rail must not exceed 15 lbs.
- Mount the accessory rails as described above.
- Position the accessory between the two LINK™ hexagonal patterns on the accessory rail.
NOTE: Some LINK accessories can use the top of the hexagonal pattern for mounting.
INSTALLATION
- Insert the tabs on the accessory into the openings on the accessory rail.
- Push the accessory in and down to secure.
To remove an accessory:
- Slide the accessory up and away from the accessory rail.
