DESCRIPTION

• The conversion kit contains all the parts required to convert a CW 800 E cap-stan winch purchased before October 2025 to the technical standard of the CW 800 E – Model 2025, thereby benefiting from the improved functions. The conversion takes around 20 minutes, and detailed instructions are included. Both capstan heads have been widened in the new CW 800 E model 2025. The rope wrapping area on the Ø 55 capstan head has been increased from 8.5 cm to 10.5 cm, and on the Ø 110 capstan head from 6.5 cm to 8.5 cm. In addition, a knurled surface has been integrated at the end of the caps-tans, which increases friction and reduces the pulling force required by the operator. The maximum pulling load remains unchanged at 400 kg and 800 k,g respectively.
• The rope guide jaws have also been redesigned. They now surround threspectiveve capstan head, ensuring better rope guidance and significantly less rope wear.
• Due to the redesign, the rope entry and rope exit also had to be renewed. The corresponding parts are included.

Conversion instructions for the new CW 800 E model

Dismantle old parts

1. Loosen the guide jaw screws
   Remove the guide jaws
   Tools: 4 mm and 5 mm Allen keys
2. Loosen the capstan screws
   Remove the capstan.s Tools: 6 mm Allen key
3. Loosen the switch box screws
   Cut the cable tie between the cable and the transmission‘s metal cover. Set the switch box aside. Tools: Side cutters, 2.5 mm Allen key.
4. Loosen the screws on the transmission cover.
   Remove the metal cover by bending it. Alternatively, unscrew the gearbox from the frame. Tools: 5 mm Allen key.
5. Loosen the cable inlet screws
   Remove the cable inlet.
   Tools: 5 mm Allen key, 13 mm open-end wrench
6. Screw the new sheet metal cover onto the gearbox
   Mounting accessories: 4x M8 x 20 mm fillister head screws, 4x M8 self-locking nuts
   Tools: 13 mm ring spanner, 5 mm Allen key
7. Screw the switch box into the new position
   Secure the cable with a cable tie
   Mounting accessories:
   4x M4 x 55 mm fillister head screws, 1x cable tie Tools: 2.5 mm Allen key
8. Installing new thrust washers
   Installation accessories:
   7x M8 x 12 mm flat-head cylinder head screws.Tools: 6 mm Allen key
9. Installing new capstan heads
   Installation accessories:
   2x M10 x 20 mm fillister head screws 2x 10 x 30 x 2.5 mm washers
   Tools: 6 mm Allen key
10. Install the new cable inlet
    Mounting accessories: 2x M8 self-locking nuts, 2x M8 x 20 mm fillister head screws
    Tools: 13 mm open-end wrench, 5 mm Allen key
