Ocean Next 4.0 is a major new feature release from RTI Group, with the major highlight that Ocean now supports the new Mako System. Piranha, Cobia and Scatter Probe are also supported, as with previous Ocean versions.

Ocean 4.0 now supports the new Mako System, the most accurate, efficient and versatile X-ray meter ever. The next-generation multimodality X-ray meter has market-leading accuracy (±1.5 % KVP uncertainty) thanks to innovative new detector technology. Centered around efficiency, Mako provides the ultimate no-fuss experience, simple setup in all X-ray applications, and fully wireless capability.
The modular, future-proof system design provides ultimate configuration flexibility, with the widest-ever application range for X-ray Quality Assurance testing.
Connectivity
Ocean Next need to be able to communicate over the following ports: 5512 (Localhost), 5513 (Localhost), 8443 (External) to properly function.
Firmware
Mako
Mako firmware is not included in this release, but can be accessed via RTIs webpage;

Piranha
No new Piranha firmware, in this release. The lowest firmware that shall be used with this release of Ocean is 2021.9A / 4.3A.
Cobia
No new Cobia firmware, in this release. The lowest firmware that that is recommended to be used with this version of Ocean Next is 2019.12A.
RTI Scatter Probe
The latest Firmware version for RTI Scatter Probe is v1.2. There is no need to update to this version as this version is only applicable to the newest versions of the Scatter Probe hardware which already ships with this version.
