If you can’t find the “tty.wchusbserialx” or “COMx” in the “Serial Port” list, you should download and install serial port chip driver first.
For macOS:

3.2. Wi-Fi Connection

If you have already configured Wi-Fi network, you can also connect Nextube by Wi-Fi connection. When using Wi-Fi connection, you don’t need connect Nextube to your computer directly.
After connecting to your Wi-Fi network, each Nextube will have an IP address. Choose the right IP address of Nextube and click “Connect”.

3.3. Reset Nextube AP Wi-Fi

If you cannot connect Nextube via “Serial Port” to configure your Wi-Fi network. You can reset Nextube AP and configure Wi-Fi network by connecting to Nextube AP.

Charge your Nextube by the charger and USB A to C cable.
After Nextube start work, long press the left button for about 2 second with one sound, then quick click the middle button twice with one sound and Nextube will restart. Please see the attached video about how to make this reset operation correct. Nextube will restart if you make the reset operation correct.
After Nextube restarting you will see a nextube-ap-x AP Wi-Fi network in you computer’s Wi-Fi connection list.

Unconnect your Wi-Fi network of your computer now, and connect the “nextube-ap-x”. The password of the “nextube-ap-x” is:12345678
After connection, the config page will load automatically, if not please enter this IP address in your browser:10.10.10.1.

Press “Configure new AP”, wait for 10 – 30 seconds, comes to the “Configure new AP” page. Fill your Wi-Fi network name and password in the SSID and Passphrase and then press “Apply”.

You will set Nextube connected to your own Wi-Fi network. You can see the IP of Nextube in your own Wi-Fi network.

Click “Reset”to reset Nextube.

Connect your computer to your Wi-Fi network.

Then open Nextube software you will see your Nextube Wi-Fi IP address in the Wi-Fi connection list.

4. Settings

After connecting, you can do the basic setting in the “Settings”:

4.1. Wi-Fi Network

Enter your Wi-Fi network name and password.

4.2. Weather Config

Enter the location city name to set weather config and you can also set “°C” or “°F” for temperature.

4.3. Sound

Set Nextube sound from 0-100.

4.4. Screen Brightness

Set Screen Brightness from 0-100.

4.5. Backlight

There are 5 different modes our backlight:

Off Mode
Set backlight off by select Off Mode.

Solid Mode

In Solid Mode, you can set led color of each tube separately.

Breathing Mode

In Breathing Mode, you can set led color of each tube separately.
The frequency of each breath is about 1s.

Marquee Mode

In Marquee Mode, you can set the led color of each tube and the color will change in a loop one by one.

Neon Mode

In Neon Mode, the led color will be in random color.

4.6. General

In General settings, you can update Firmware Version and set Language.
The version info will be updated after you connect Nextube by Wi-Fi connection mode.
After setting, click “Upload” to Nextube.

5. Apps

There are 7 Apps now in our App Library, and we will continue releasing more Apps in the future.

You can drag the App in the App Library to the dock to set the App to Nextube. The maximum number of applications is 16.

Delete App by right click:

5.1. Clock

Clock Mode
There are 3 clock modes: 24H Mode, 12H Mode and Weather Mode.

In Weather Mode, you can choose “Weather”, “Week/Date”, “Indoor H/T” and “Temperature” info and duration showing on the sixth screen.

The weather location info should be set in “Settings”.

Clock Style
You can change the style of the app by click the glass tube of Nextube on the software.

Maximum Clock
The Maximum number of the Clock you can set is 12.

Time Setting
The clock is calibrated automatically by using NTP and a RTC chip. After setting Wi-Fi network and upload from computer, the time will calibrate to the same as the computer time after about 30 seconds to 5 minutes.

5.2. Custom Clock

There are 2 clock modes of Custom Clock: 24H mode and 12H mode.

You can add your own design to customize clock by click the glass tube of Nextube on the software.

Add your own design one by one:

The Maximum number of the Custom Clock you can set is 5.

5.3. Pomodoro Timer

You can set “Duration”, “Short Break”, “Long Break” and “Intervals” info in “Pomodoro Settings”.

In “Promodoro Timer” App on Nextube, short click middle button to start or stop timing and long press middle button to reset.

5.4. Timer

You can set time duration in Timer settings.

In “Timer” App on Nextube, short click middle button to start or stop timing and long press middle button to reset.

5.5. Subscribe

The “Subscribe” App only support YouTube subscribe now and we will add more platforms in the future. And for now, you can only add one “Subscribe” App to the dock. Fill the YouTube channel ID and set Nextube connect to Wi-Fi network, Nextube will show the subscribe number of the YouTube channel.

5.6. Alarm

Add Alarm in 24H mode in “Alarm Settings”.

5.7. Album

You can add 3 groups of pictures to Album.

6. Upload

“Upload” Apps and settings to Nextube.

After uploading, Nextube will restart and then you can click the right and the left button to change the Apps set from the software. If you set the Apps in the same style such, it won’t take much time by switch Apps. If you set the apps in different styles, it will take some time for switching.
