Computer Tutoring Learner Agreement
The purpose of the One-on-One Computer Tutoring Program is to provide computer and technology instruction to improve skills and/or teach new skills.
Sessions will focus on a particular area that the learner wants to learn more about. Sessions may include, but are not limited to, topics such as learning to navigate the internet, how to set-up and edit spreadsheets, how to download digital books, or how to create a document in Word. By focusing on a particular area, the learner can obtain more in-depth instruction on a particular subject.
- Sessions are limited 30 minutes.
- If you arrive more than 10 minutes late the session will be cancelled. You may schedule for another day during the same week but not during the same day.
- If more time is needed, another session can be booked.
- Sessions are limited to three appointments per topic within a six-month period.
- Sessions are one-on-one and not designed for groups. If friends or family want to learn, we are happy to book a separate appointment for them.
- Sessions are designed for extended learning and not for quick computer questions.
- Sessions are designed to help the learner understand how a program, app, or website works so they can manage it on their own.
- Staff will not do the work for the learner, but will instruct them in how to do it.
- Failure to follow these guidelines may prevent the learner from participating in future sessions.
