    Question

Can I use the Roku Streambar Pro with an optical cable and still get sound from a wireless bass and satellite speakers?

    Answer

Yes, you can use the Roku Streambar Pro with an optical connection and still receive audio through your Roku wireless expansion speakers (such as the Roku Wireless Bass and Roku Wireless Speakers).

    How to set it up:

    • Connection: Connect the Streambar Pro to your TV using the included Premium High Speed HDMI cable (for video) AND the Optical cable. The optical cable is required if your TV does not have an HDMI-ARC port.
    • Important Note: Remember to remove the small plastic protective caps from the ends of the optical cable before plugging it in.
    • Wireless Expansion: The Streambar Pro communicates with the Roku Wireless Bass and Roku Wireless Speakers wirelessly via its own internal network. The source of the TV audio (HDMI-ARC vs. Optical) does not prevent the Streambar from sending that audio to your paired wireless satellites.
    • Configuration: Once connected, follow the on-screen setup. If you are adding new speakers, go to Settings > Remotes & devices > Pair new device on your Roku interface to link the bass and satellite speakers.

If you do not see the optical cable in your box, please check the packaging thoroughly as it is listed as an included (optional) accessory in the manual.
