Instructiuni de asamblare
Follow the numbered steps in the included instruction booklet for detailed assembly. Always dry-fit parts before applying cement to ensure proper alignment. Use appropriate plastic cement sparingly to avoid damaging the plastic.
1. Hull Assembly
Begin by assembling the main hull components. Ensure proper alignment for the heavy tank destroyer's structure. Pay close attention to the fit of the lower and upper hull sections.
2. Superstructure
Attach the large, boxy superstructure to the hull. The kit authentically recreates the jigsaw-type plate joints of the real vehicle, so ensure these sections interlock correctly for a strong bond and accurate appearance.
3. Gun Assembly
Assemble the 8.8cm Pak 43 L/71 gun. This kit features a detailed depiction of this powerful weapon. Carefully follow the instructions for assembling the barrel, breech, and mounting mechanism.
4. Asamblarea șinei
The kit includes assembly-type tracks with single-piece straight sections. Carefully assemble the individual track links, ensuring they form a smooth curve around the drive sprockets and idlers. It is recommended to secure the drive sprockets to prevent rotation during track assembly. Allow sufficient drying time for the cement before handling the tracks extensively.
5. Weights Installation
Install the included weights into the hull as indicated in the instructions. These weights give the model an authentically heavy feel. Ensure they are securely fixed, for example, with a bead of silicone glue, to prevent rattling inside the finished model.

Funcționează
This Tamiya Elefant model is a static display model. It is not designed for remote control operation or active play. Once assembled and painted, it is intended for display purposes. Handle with care to prevent damage to delicate parts.
Întreţinere
To maintain the appearance of your model, gently dust it with a soft brush or use compressed air to remove dust from crevices. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, as these can cause paint fading or plastic warping over time. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the paint and plastic surfaces.
Depanare
- Piese nepotrivite: Ensure parts are correctly oriented and remove any excess plastic (flash) from the sprues using a hobby knife or file. Always dry-fit parts before applying cement.
- Tracks not aligning: Track assembly requires patience. Use small pieces of tape to hold drive sprockets in place if needed while assembling the track links. Allow cement to fully cure before handling the tracks extensively.
- Decals not adhering or 'silvering': Apply Tamiya Mark Fit (Strong) or a similar decal softener/adhesive to help decals conform to irregular surfaces and eliminate air bubbles that cause 'silvering'. Ensure the surface is glossy before applying decals for best results.
- Paint issues: If paint appears uneven or too thick, ensure you are applying thin, even coats. Allow adequate drying time between coats. Humidity can affect paint drying and finish.
