This electronic cylinder is designed for exterior doors and integrates with the blueCompact locking system, offering flexible management via a dedicated application.
The blueCompact system allows for convenient and secure access control, managed directly from your smartphone. Please read these instructions carefully before installation and use to ensure proper function and security.
2. Informații de siguranță
- The blueCompact cylinders comply with DIN EN 18252, DIN EN 1303, DIN EN 15684, and CE standards, meeting IP 54 protection class requirements.
- They offer high resistance against burglary, certified with the highest security level (SKG***) by the SKG-IKOB institute.
- The cylinders are protected against manipulation, including drilling, pulling, and magnetic attacks.
- For optimal anti-burglary resistance, select the correct cylinder length. Police and security institutes recommend a maximum cylinder protrusion of 3 mm from the door fitting.
- The blueCompact application functions only on non-manipulated smartphones for security reasons.
- The data recording concept ensures no personal or security-relevant data is stored in the cloud or the application itself. Data is stored on the Masterkey, protected by 128-bit AES encryption.

4. Configurare și instalare
The Winkhaus blueCompact cylinder is designed for straightforward installation, similar to a mechanical locking cylinder, requiring no wiring.
4.1. Cerințe preliminare
- A Winkhaus blueCompact activation kit is required for operation. This kit includes the Masterkey and four user keys.
- A compatible smartphone (iOS or Android) with the free blueCompact Winkhaus application installed.
4.2. Etape de instalare
- Îndepărtați cilindrul existent: Locate and remove the fixing screw on the side of your door that secures the current locking cylinder. Carefully slide out the old cylinder.

5. Instrucțiuni de utilizare
5.1. Blocare și deblocare
The Winkhaus blueCompact cylinder is locked and unlocked conventionally using a blueCompact key. Insert the key and turn it to engage or disengage the lock mechanism.
5.2. Access Rights Management (blueCompact App)
Access rights are managed using the Masterkey and the free blueCompact Winkhaus application (available for iOS and Android) on your smartphone.
- Configurare inițială: Start with one cylinder and expand your locking system as needed, up to 25 cylinders and 99 keys.
- Granting/Revoking Access: Use the Masterkey in conjunction with the app to grant or revoke access rights for individual user keys.
- Lost Key Management: In case of a lost key, use the Masterkey and the app to quickly remove its access rights, maintaining the security of your system.
5.3. Înregistrare evenimente
The cylinder's controller, equipped with a real-time clock, logs the last 2000 locking events, including date and time. This event journal can be accessed via the blueCompact app for security monitoring.
6. Întreținere

The cylinder operates on a Lithium BR 1/2 AA battery. The battery life supports up to 120,000 locking cycles or up to 10 years in standby mode.
The system provides warnings regarding battery status. When the battery needs replacement, follow the instructions in the blueCompact app or the detailed installation guide.
6.2. Emergency Operation (Empty Battery)
If the battery is completely depleted and you have missed the low battery warnings, the cylinder can still be opened using the Masterkey or any active blueCompact Winkhaus keys that have their own internal battery.
7. Depanare
- Cylinder not responding: Check battery status. If the battery is low or empty, use the Masterkey or an active blueCompact key with its own battery.
- Key not granting access: Verify access rights via the blueCompact app using the Masterkey. Ensure the key is properly registered and its access has not been revoked.
- App not functioning: Ensure your smartphone is not "manipulated" (e.g., rooted or jailbroken), as the app has security measures against such devices. Check for app updates.
- Difficulty installing: Refer to the installation videos available in the blueCompact app or on YouTube. Ensure the fixing screw is correctly aligned and tightened.
