INTRODUCTION
The most cutting-edge and accurate method of determining your vehicle’s performance numbers is RaceBox. It has never been simpler to measure 0-60 mph, 60-130 mph acceleration, 1/4 mile speeds, or laps around your favorite race track. Get information about your lap times in real time. You can develop your talents without stopping to verify your outcomes by immediately analyzing your session. There are four ways to assess the acceleration, braking, and speed capabilities of your car. You have complete freedom to measure your car’s performance in great detail using the Speed, Distance, Custom, and Predictive modes. You can analyses your lap or drag sessions in-depth with the RaceBox mobile app to improve your driving abilities. available on Android and iOS.
Use the up/down arrow buttons on the left to scroll through the available settings. Press the right arrow button (bottom right) to enter a menu and the left arrow button (top right) to exit it. Use the same controls to navigate all the submenus.

LAP TIMER SETUP
- SELECT TRACK- select the track and configuration you are on. Same as the Lap Timer Track Select Screen.
- SCREEN MODE- select the current display mode of the Lap Time Race Screen.
- PREDICTIVE – manage the Lap Timer Predictive mode reference.
- MANAGE TRACKS- list the tracks in RaceBOx memory, delete them, set names for custom tracks.
- DIFF POPUP- adjust how long the sector/lap time popups remain on screen. Press the right arrow button to toggle between 3, 5 and 7 seconds
- CUSTOM GATE- adjust the width of the start/finish and split lines for custom tracks. Press the right arrow button to toggle between 4m, 6m, 8m, 10m and 20m.
Use the up/down arrow buttons to choose between Best Lap, Last Lap and Predictive. You can also change mode from the Lap Timer Race Screen.
LAP TIMER SETUP- PREDICTIVE
Lap Timer Predictive Setup presents you with information about the currently stored reference lap that will be used for predictive lap times.
If you change the track/configuration you are driving on RaceBox will automatically record new reference and erase the existing one.
If you share RaceBox with other drivers that have different driving line or just place significantly faster lap times then the predictive algorithms Will pick their laps as reference. In that case you may want reset the learned lap. 1o do that just press the right arrow button when on this screen and confirm erase. RaceBox will automatically learn a new reference lap the next time you are on the track.
LAP TIMER SETUP- MANAGE TRACKS
The Manage Tracks menu allows you to view and manage the tracks in the RaceBox internal memory. From this menu, you can also add names for a custom track created via Race Box. You can also upload, create and manage the tracks on your RaceBox via the smartphone application.
DRAG METER SETUP
CHRISTMAS TREE- configure the duration of the Drag Christmas Tree. Press the right arrow button to toggle between 3, 5 and 7 seconds.
DRAG METER CUSTOM INTERVALS
You can configure up to four disciplines (intervals) to measure in Drag Meter Custom mode. Select one and press the right arrow button to adjust it. 
Use the right arrow button to start editing a parameter of the discipline. Use the up/down arrow buttons to adjust its value. Once you are done press the left or right arrow buttons to stop editing it.
Each discipline is configured individually – you can select whether you want to time distance or speed runs, units and so on.
RaceBox supports timing distance runs in feet, meters and miles, up to 10 miles. Speed runs can be measured in kilometers per hour or miles per hour, up to 500 mph.
DRAG METER SETUP- SCREEN MODE
Use the up/down arrow buttons to toggle between normal and predictive display mode. You can also change the display while in the Drag Race Screen.Read more about the Drag Meter Display mode.
DRAG METER SETUP- PREDICTIVE
Drag Meter Predictive Setup presents you with information about the currently stored reference run, including when it was recorded, if 1 ft rollout was enabled, what the slope is, etc.
If the reference run is with very different acceleration curve (e.g. recorded with different vehicle, on a steep slope, etc.) it is recommended to reset the reference run for best results. Select the Reset
Predictive option, press the right arrow button and confirm.
WIRELESS
Focus the Wireless menu and press the Right arrow button, toggle it with the up and down arrows. When the built-in wireless is disabled the device will use less battery but you cannot connect it with the smartphone application. From the Password menu you can view or reset the access password.
BRIGHTNESS
Use the up/down arrow buttons to adjust RaceBox display brightness to match the ambient light. Lower brightness will also extend battery life.
GPS
ACCELEROMETER
Use the Accelerometer menu to calibrate it so it compensates for mounting angles. Perform this procedure every time you mount the device. This affects only the recorded g-forces in Lap Timer and Drag Meter modes. Timing and positioning accuracy are not affected by calibration.
STORAGE
The Storage menu provides information about the internal storage capacity- number of sessions, number of tracks, free memory and so on. Press the right arrow button and confirm if you want to erase all sessions and free up space. Make sure to download them with the smartphone application first.
UNITS
Use the up/down arrows to adjust the time zone in 15 minute steps. This affects the date/time of sessions start for both Lap Timer and Drag meter as well as the wall clock on the main menu.
AUTO SHUTDOWN
It the device is not in use for some time it will automatically turn oft. Use the up/down arrows to configure that delay in one minute steps up to 10 minutes. You can also disable it completely, but you have to make sure to manually turn it off when not in use so it does not drain its battery.
DEVICE
The Device menu provides information about RaceBox serial number, hardware version and installed firmware. You have also the option to perform a complete factory reset of the unit. This will wipe all sessions, tracks and settings and return it to factory state.
FAQs
Can this be connected to your car to track your speeds and not just over GPS?
RaceBox can track your speed only over GPS. Our device can’t connect to cars.
Does this device display the live lap time delta versus your best/last lap?
Yes. While driving you will be presented with current lap and lap time for it, your live speed, last and best times and colorful pop-ups for every point that you cross (split, start/finish) with the difference from your best time in the session. All that information is perfectly arranged and balanced so you can glance it without losing sight of your driving line.
Looking to use this to measure boat races – we start at 6mph, and go from a “roll”, then run ⅛ mile can this be done with? This product?
We have “Customs interval” in “Drag Settings” where clients can setup own intervals like 6 mph to 60mph. Measurements in distance mode, like 1/8 mile start from 0 mph.
What about the warranty ?
RaceBox offer full 12 months warranty (replacement with new device).
Does it show density altitude and inclines like the Draggy?
Right now, RaceBox does not show density altitude. However, it shows incline/slope for every point and automatically corrects the times for it in the app.
Has anyone successfully used this as an external GPS receiver for the track addict app?
RaceBox is standalone device and communication is not open. Users cannot connect RaceBox to others mobile applications. We working on big update in Lap Time functionality and this release will be available in next few weeks.
does it show stopping distance from 70-0 ?
Yes, when users make custom intervals from settings RaceBox measure distance.
Sepang F1 track is missing from the database. Will you be adding it?
We will add in next two days.
Can you switch between KPM and mph?
Users can switch between km/h and mph from Settings menu from device or on next step when sessions data download via Wi-Fi to mobile application for analysis.
I see Carolina Motorsport Park is not in there will it be added?

Does this work for autox events not just track and drag? the start and finish are different but would it map out the autox course?
Yes, RaceBox support “Open Track” mode (like Nordschleife). User can add Start and Finish points in manual mode or we can add this Open Track to our database. But we support at moment only flight start. If you mean start from 0 km this is not supported at moment. We have plans to add this functionality in future.
Is a full list of the track database available? I downloaded the app to try, but it appears to require a device to be connected first.
You can find a list of all tracks in the database on the website. The actual track database is available from the application. You need to connect your racebox to the app and then load your track of choice to the device while connected.
Can you use the device for 3rd party apps as a standalone 10hz GPS? if so, I am sold.
No, at least not as of today.
I need to buy anything more or this is complete?
This is standalone device and our users don’t need anything else to use RACE BOX device. You can use free RACEBOX mobile application for deep analysis and upload a race tracks from our database.
Does it gives the lean angle when on a motorcycle?
Yes, when you finish your session and connect RACE BOX device to your mobile phone you can see the lean angle in the mobile application. RACE BOX device doesn’t have a mount kit in a retail box for motorcycles.
