How does the sleep function work?

Based on the Nedis TVRC2340BK manual and product layout, the SLEEP button is a dedicated function key located in the center section of the remote, next to the Google Play and DISP buttons.

While the quick start guide does not provide specific multi-step programming for this button, it typically works in one of two ways depending on your device setup:

• Direct Command: If the remote is already programmed to your TV, pressing the SLEEP button sends the standard "Sleep Timer" command to your television, allowing you to cycle through automatic power-off increments (e.g., 30, 60, 90 minutes).
• Custom Mapping: If the button does not work immediately, you can use the Customising streaming app buttons procedure (found on page 8 of the manual) to map a specific menu function to it. This involves holding the button for 5 seconds until the LED lights up, navigating to your TV's sleep timer menu using the arrow keys, and then holding the button again until the LED turns off to save the shortcut.
