To program the address for the STRI-M Addressable Interface Module, follow these steps as outlined in the instruction manual:
1. Locate the red and black FDLC loop circuit wires of the STRI-M (refer to Figure 1).
2. Connect the Addressable Loop Driver circuit wires of the STRI-M to the Model SDPU Programmer/Tester using the cable provided with the Programmer/Tester and the two alligator clip to banana plug adapters provided.
3. Before connecting the STRI-M to the SDPU, ensure that all field wiring is removed from the red and black FDLC loop circuit wires of the STRI-M to prevent damage to the SDPU.
4. Connection from the SDPU to the STRI-M is not polarity sensitive.
5. Refer to Figure 3 for the proper connections to the control panel and follow the instructions in the SDPU Programmer/Tester Manual (P/N 315-033260C) to program the desired address into the STRI-M.
6. Record the device address on the label located on the STRI-M.
7. Once the address is programmed, the STRI-M can be installed and wired to the system for operation.
By following these programming steps, you can ensure that the STRI-M Addressable Interface Module is correctly configured and integrated into the FS-250C System for effective monitoring and reporting of the contact status.
