I went to a dealership to find out which wires were positive and ground on the back-up light wires. I looked at a YouTube video on splicing wires using a connector that doesn’t require cutting or stripping wires. I bought them at Home Depot. Squeeze very hard when using the connector. I am very mechanically-deficient, but this was easy.

It is wireless between the CAMERA on the license plate bracket and the MONITOR which should be mounted on the dash or windshield. The wires provide 12V power, red lead, which must be spliced into the BACKUP LAMP power lead,(+) and black lead which must be attached to any good Ground (-). The distance between the camera and the monitor must be as close as possible to provide a good wireless connection., so the sending unit should be installed in the trunk close to the back of the rear seats.
