  1. Remove the easy access cover plate.
  2. Assemble the cistern and fittings as shown in the diagram, making sure the cable is on the right-hand side as you face the front.
  3. Place the cable into the slot in the easy access cover plate and clip it into position. Avoid kinking the cable.
  4. Mark the position where the cistern will be fitted, ensuring there is at least a 20mm gap between the top of the cistern and the underside of the worktop when installing in a WC unit.
  5. Use the fixing bracket and fixing holes to secure the cistern into the WC unit or wall cavity.
  6. Measure and cut the flush pipe to size using a fine-toothed saw. Connect the flush pipe to the cistern using the coupling nut and washer.
  7. Mark the position for the flush button on the front of the WC unit or ducting, and drill a 40mm hole, ensuring there is enough room behind the fascia for the button housing.
  8. Fix the button into position by tightening the back nut. Clip the button housing onto the button, being careful not to bend or kink the cable.
  9. If required, adjust the water level in the cistern by turning the adjusting screw on the inlet valve.
  10. Connect and fix the WC pan according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
