Product Usage Instructions
- Remove the appliance from the packaging, ensuring all protective plastic film and coatings are removed.
- Maintain a minimum clearance of 2.5cm between the unit and walls, with a 20cm clearance on the top. Avoid placing near heat sources.
- Clean shelves and interior with soapy water before first use.
- Located below the doors on the rear of the appliance. To manually defrost, press and hold the button for 6 seconds.
- Store food items in the designated compartments of the appliance.
- Close the doors, connect to power supply, and press the button to turn the light On or Off as needed.
- Press the SET button, adjust the temperature using the arrow buttons, then press SET to save temperature settings.
- Clean regularly using soapy water, ensuring no debris clogs the drain hole. Wipe external condensation with a cloth. Replace the interior lamp carefully after allowing it to cool.

- Always switch off and disconnect the power supply to the unit before cleaning.

- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a POLAR agent or a recommended qualified technician to avoid a hazard.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- POLAR recommends that this product is connected to a circuit protected by an appropriate RCD (Residual Current Device).
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- POLAR recommends that this appliance should be periodically tested (at least annually) by a Competent Person. Testing should include, but not be limited to: Visual Inspection, Polarity Test, Earth Continuity, Insulation Continuity and Functional Testing.
Caution: Risk of Fire
- Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with a flammable propellant in this appliance.
Warning: Keep all ventilation openings clear of obstruction. Unit should not be boxed in without adequate ventilation.

POLAR prides itself on quality and service, ensuring that at the time of unpacking the contents are supplied fully functional and free of damage.
Should you find any damage as a result of transit, please contact your POLAR dealer immediately.
Installation
Not for use in vans or trailers, food trucks or similar vehicles.
If the unit has not been stored or moved in an upright position, let it stand upright for approximately 12 hours before operation. If in doubt allow to stand.
- Remove the appliance from the packaging. Make sure that all protective plastic film and coatings are thoroughly removed from all surfaces.
- To optimize performance and longevity, ensure a minimum clearance of 2.5cm is maintained between the unit and walls and other objects, with a minimum 20cm clearance on the top. NEVER LOCATE NEXT TO A HEAT SOURCE.
Note: Before using the appliance for the first time, clean the shelves and interior with soapy water then dry well.
Operation
Control Panel
- The control panel is located below the doors on the rear of the appliance.
Turn On
- Close the doors of the appliance.
- Connect the appliance to a mains power supply.
- Press the
button to turn the light On or Off as required.
Setting the Operating Temperature
- Press the SET button. The display will flash.
- Press the
buttons to display the required temperature.
- Press the SET button to store the temperature.
Manual Defrost:
- Press and hold the
button for 6 seconds to begin automatic defrost. The defrost light illuminates.
- The defrost cycle will end automatically.
Storing Food
To get the best results from your POLAR appliance, follow these instructions:
- Only store foodstuffs in the appliance when it has reached the correct operating temperature.
- Do not place uncovered hot food or liquids (like acidic fluids) inside the appliance (as it can damage the evaporator).
- Wrap or cover food where possible.
- Do not obstruct the fans inside the appliance.
- Avoid opening the doors for prolonged periods of time.
Cleaning, Care & Maintenance
- Switch off and disconnect from the power supply before cleaning.
- The doors can be removed for ease of cleaning.
- Clean the interior of the appliance as often as possible.
- Do not use abrasive cleaning agents. These can leave harmful residues.
- Clean the door seal with warm soapy water.
- Always wipe dry after cleaning.
- Do not allow water used in cleaning to run through the drain hole into the evaporation pan.
Condensation and ice will form with frequent and prolonged opening of the doors.
Operating outside of the recommended temperature range and placing next to a heat source will also increase the amount of ice and internal/external condensation.
If external condensation occurs wipe the surface down with a cloth.
Excessive ice will result in longer running times that will increase energy consumption and increase the deterioration of components.
Replacing the Interior Lamp
WARNING: Allow the lamp to cool before replacing. The lamp remains hot immediately after use.
- Turn Off and disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply.
- Remove the lamp by twisting it from the lamp sockets.
- Insert the new lamp and twist into place.
Cleaning the Condenser
- Periodically cleaning the condenser can extend the life of the appliance.
- POLAR recommends that a POLAR agent or qualified technician clean the condenser.

Electrical Wiring
POLAR appliances are supplied with a 3-pin BS1363 plug and lead.
The plug is to be connected to a suitable main socket.
POLAR appliances are wired as follows:
- Live wire (colored brown) to the terminal marked L
- Neutral wire (colored blue) to the terminal marked N
- Earth wire (colored green/yellow) to the terminal marked E
This appliance must be earthed.
If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.
Electrical isolation points must be kept clear of any obstructions. In the event of any emergency disconnection being required, they must be readily accessible.
Disposal
- EU regulations require refrigeration products to be disposed of by specialist companies who remove or recycle all gasses, metal and plastic components.
- Consult your local waste collection authority regarding the disposal of your appliance. Local authorities are not obliged to dispose of commercial refrigeration equipment but may be able to offer advice on how to dispose of the equipment locally.
