COLOR SELECTABLE G24D LED PL LAMP – TYPE B
WARNING, CAUTION, SAFETY AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Caution
- Not for use with ballasts.
- Not for use with emergency exit fixtures or emergency exit lights.
- This lamp is non-dimmable. Not for use with dimmers.
- SUITABLE FOR “TYPE NON-IC” RECESSED LUMINAIRES WITHOUT DIFFUSER.
- The retrofit PLT-20333 may be used in fixtures with 2 pin or 4 pin sockets and can replace 32W CFL lamps with G24q,
- GX24q, G24d and GX24d bases. The retrofit PLT-20334 may be used in fixtures with 2 pin or 4 pin sockets and can replace 42W CFL lamps with G24q, GX24q, G24d and GX24d bases.
- Do not open or modify. No user serviceable parts inside.
- Installers should examine all parts that are not intended to be replaced by the retrofit kit for damage and replace any damaged parts prior to installation of the retrofit kit
- LED Retrofit Kit installation requires knowledge of luminaire electrical systems. If not qualified, do not attempt installation. Contact a qualified electrician. Installation should be performed only by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code and relevant local code.
- Install this kit only in the luminaires that have the construction features and dimensions shown in the photographs and/or drawings and where the input rating of the retrofit kit does not exceed the input rating of the luminaire.
- TYPE B LAMP – Intended for operation in luminaires with traditional fluorescent-type lamp holders wired directly to the branch circuit. This includes both factory-wired luminaires as well as those converted for this purpose under a retrofit program.
- Input ratings may need to be determined based on any configuration(s) permitted by the installation instructions.
- Regardless of the configuration(s) of the retrofit kit, the input ratings of the overall retrofit kit shall not exceed the marked input ratings of the host luminaire.
- This item is rated for 120-277V. Installer must determine whether line voltage 120-277V is available at the luminaire before installation.
- Luminaire wiring and electrical parts may be damaged when drilling for installation of LED retrofit kit. Check for enclosed wiring and components.
- Do not make or alter any open hole in wiring enclosure or components during installation.
- Installers should not disconnect existing wires from lamp holder terminals to make new connections at lamp holder terminals. Instead installers should cut existing lamp holder leads away from the lamp holder and make new electrical connections to lamp holder lead wires by employing applicable connectors.
- “This luminaire has been modified to operate LED lamps” shall be marked on the retrofit luminaire where readily visible by the user during normal maintenance including re-lamping.
- IF THE LAMP OR LUMINAIRE EXHIBITS UNDESIRABLE OPERATION (BUZZING, FLICKERING, ETC), IMMEDIATELY TURN OFF POWER REMOVE LAMP FROM LUMINAIRE AND CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER.
- THE RETROFIT KIT IS ACCEPTED AS A COMPONENT OF A LUMINAIRE WHERE THE SUITABILITY OF THE COMBINATION SHALL BE DETERMINED BY AUTHORITIES HAVING JURISDICTION. PRODUCT
MUST BE INSTALLED BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPLICABLE AND APPROPRIATE ELECTRICAL CODES. THE INSTALLATION GUIDE DOES NOT SUPERSEDE LOCAL OR NATIONAL REGULATIONS FOR ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS.
Notice
- Suitable for damp locations. Do not use where directly exposed to weather or water.
- Not for use in totally enclosed fixture. Maximum ambient temperature must not exceed 45°C (113°F).

Installation Instructions
- Read all WARNINGS before continuing installation.
- Ensure fixture is powered by 120-277V.
- Make sure the POWER IS OFF AT THE AC MAIN POWER SOURCE OR ELECTRIC PANEL.
- Remove fixture cover or lens, if applicable. Remove fluorescent lamp.
- Before rewiring, confirm the number of lamps per the fixture then refer to the relevant sections in the Compartment Dimensions chart above.
- If the fixture has no ballast, refer to Diagram 1 (see Wiring Diagrams section).
- If the fixture has an electronic ballast, refer to Diagram 2 (see Wiring Diagrams section).
- Move the CCT switch to the desired setting before installing the lamp (see CCT Selection section).
- Ensure the power input pins on the lamp align with the corresponding powered contacts in the wired lamp holder and then insert the lamp into the holder.
- If modifications were made, ensure the “Modification Sticker” is visibly affixed to the fixture, and if applicable, reinstall the house cover or lens.
- Turn power back on. Installation is complete.
