- 3/8″ & 7/16″ Can Wrench or Socket Wrench

- Fiber Optic Cable Opening Tools
Product Usage Instructions
- If using a cut cable, insert the cable through the grommet. If your application requires express cables, see Step 2 for the grommet slitting procedure.
For express applications: Slit the grommet as shown to the right, before installing the grommets over the cable.
NOTE: The slit should NOT be through the narrow center section of the figure-8 hole. It should be through either point where the figure-8 hole
is the widest.
For both cut cable and express cable applications, measure, mark, and remove the cable sheath and strength members.
Adjust the grommet position as shown.
Remove the 900-micron tube roughly 1/2″ (1.3 cm) from the cable sheath opening.
Lubricate the outer surface of the grommet with the silicone lubricant provided.
Insert the grommet into the grommet pocket of the base.
Insert the cable retention clip into the retention clip pocket and push the clip onto the cable.
NOTE: Use a can wrench to push down the cable restraint clip into the pocket if required.
