Product Usage Instructions

Charging the controller
Charge the controller fully before first use. The LED indicators located below the joysticks on the front of the controller rapidly flash to indicate that the built-in battery is low and needs to be charged. Connect the included USB-C cable to the controller’s USB port and a USB charger or computer. The LED indicators below the joysticks flash when the controller is charging and turn off when it has been fully charged. If you want to charge and at the same time use the controller wired to a Switch console you need to first enable an option called Pro controller wired communication on the Switch. Navigate to the Switch home screen. Open System settings and go to Controllers and sensors. Enable the Pro controller wired communication option.

Power on/off
Press any button on the controller to turn it on (excluding left or right joystick, or Turbo button). The LED indicators light up. Press the Sync button on the back of the controller to turn it off.

Note! The controller turns off automatically after 5 minutes of inactivity.

Connecting to a Switch console

Wireless connection:

  1. Navigate to the Home screen on the Switch console. Open Controllers and press the Change grip and order option.
  2. Press and hold the Sync button on the back of the controller for 3-5 seconds. The LED indicators start flashing. Release the Sync button.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions on the Switch console.

Connecting to an Android device

  1. Open the Bluetooth settings on your smart device and search for devices nearby.
  2. Press and hold the Sync button on the back of the controller for 2 seconds, the LED indicators start flashing slowly. Keep holding down the Sync button and press the Y button for 2 seconds until the second and third LED indicator (from left to right) start flashing. Release both buttons.
  3. Connect to Gamepad on your smart device.

Connecting to an iOS device

  1. Open the Bluetooth settings on your smart device and search for devices nearby.
  2. Press and hold the Sync button on the back of the controller for

Changing the speed of the Turbo button presses

  1. Press and hold the Turbo button in the middle of the controller.
  2. To increase the speed, tilt the right analogue stick forward.
  3. To decrease the speed, tilt the right analogue stick towards you.
  4. Release the Turbo button to confirm your setting.

FAQ

Use

Charging the controller

  2. The LED indicators on the controller start flashing.
  3. Press any button on the controller (excl. Turbo button) to connect the controller to the Switch console.

Note! The controller is wirelessly paired automatically to the Switch console if it has first been connected via a USB-cable.

If you turn off the controller or Switch console after pairing them wirelessly, you can reconnect the controller by holding the Home button (PLEXGEAR-CB109-Wireless-Controller- 4 ) for 3-5 seconds. The LED indicators flash and the controller is automatically reconnected to the Switch console. You can use the controller to wake and unlock a paired Switch console from standby mode. Press and hold the Home button (PLEXGEAR-CB109-Wireless-Controller- 4 ) for 2 seconds. The LED indicators start flashing. The Switch console turns on after a 3 second delay and the LED indicators on the controller turn off. Press any button on the controller (excl. Turbo button) 3 times to unlock the Switch.

Connecting to an Android device

  1. Open the Bluetooth settings on your smart device and search for devices nearby.
  2. Press and hold the Sync button on the back of the controller for 2 seconds, the LED indicators start flashing slowly. Keep holding down the Sync button and press the Y button for 2 seconds until the second and third LED indicator (from left to right) start flashing. Release both buttons.
  3. Connect to “Gamepad” on your smart device.

Connecting to an iOS device

  1. Open the Bluetooth settings on your smart device and search for devices nearby.
  2. Press and hold the Sync button on the back of the controller for 2 seconds, the LED indicators start flashing slowly. Keep holding down the Sync button and press the X button for 2 seconds until the first and fourth LED indicator (from left to right) start flashing. Release both buttons.
  3. Connect to “Xbox Wireless Controller” on your smart device.

Connecting to a PC

  1. Connect the USB-C cable the controller and a USB port on the PC.
  2. The controller is automatically installed as “Controller” on the PC and the first and fourth LED indicator (from left to right) light up.

This controller supports X Input mode and DirectInput mode when connected to a PC. X Input is the default mode and the controller automatically starts in this mode. It is designed by Microsoft for their Xbox controllers and is compatible with most platforms on PC. DirectInput mimics the earlier types of controllers for systems such as Nintendo 64 and Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). DirectInput mode also has two sub-settings, analog and digital. Analog has joystick functions like the N64 gamepad. Digital has only directional button functions like the NES gamepad. Press and hold the + and – buttons to switch from X-input to D-input mode. Controller is shown as “Gamepad” on the PC and and the second and third LED indicator (from left to right) light up. Press and hold the + and – buttons to switch to X-input mode again. The first and fourth LED indicator (from left to right) light up.

Turbo mode

Turbo is used to send a command automatically and repeatedly while holding down a button. Turbo can be enabled for multiple buttons at the same time.

Note! Turbo mode is compatible with buttons: Y, X, B, A, L1, L2, R1 and R2. Turbo mode is not compatible with: -, +, Capture, Home, the analog stick directions or pad buttons.
To enable turbo mode, press and hold the Turbo button in the middle of the controller while pressing the buttons you want to activate turbo mode for. Release the buttons to confirm.
To disable turbo mode on a button, press and hold the Turbo button in the middle of the controller and press the affected button twice. To reset all Turbo settings, press and hold the Turbo button in the middle of the controller for more than 5 seconds.

Changing the speed of the Turbo button presses

To change the speed of the repeats in turbo mode:

  1. Press and hold the Turbo button in the middle of the controller.
  2. To increase the speed, tilt the right analogue stick forward.
    To decrease the speed, tilt the right analogue stick towards you.
  3. Release the Turbo button to confirm your setting.

Note! This setting affects the repeating speed speed of all turbo enabled buttons.

Changing the vibration intensity of the controller
The vibration intensity has 3 levels, 0–35%, 70% and 100%.

  1. Press and hold the Turbo button in the middle of the controller.
  2. To increase the intensity, tilt the left analogue stick forward.
    To decrease the intensity, tilt the left analogue stick towards you.
  3. Release the Turbo button to confirm your setting.
