System Components of PullFitt PN10
The system has been designed to operate within the technical specifications of pressure and temperature, guaranteeing a minimum durability of 50 years.
The fittings of the PullFitt PN10 system are designed to use PE-Xa pipe according to the applications defined in EN ISO 15875.
All systems that meet the conditions specified in the table must be suitable for the conduction of cold water for a period of 50 years at a temperature of 20 °C and a design pressure of 10 bar.

PE-Xa / PE-Xa EVOH Pipe
Auray Managing utilizes premium polyethylene and cutting-edge cross-linking technology to produce high-performance PE-Xa pipes. Both PE-Xa and PE-Xa EVOH pipes are available in rolls and bars, allowing for selection based on project requirements. They adhere to standardized certifications in compliance with UNE-EN ISO 15875.
Key advantages of PE-Xa pipes: High flexibility. Shape memory. Enhanced pressure resistance. Impact, tensile, scratch, and brittle break resistance. Long service life, typically exceeding 50 years under normal conditions. Excellent resistance to abrasion and chemical exposure. Safe for use in sub-zero temperatures, as the pipe’s adaptability allows it to expand without breaking, even in extreme cold. Lower pressure loss compared to metal pipes, resulting in higher flow rates with the same pipe diameter. Ideal for drinking water applications. Thanks to their polyethylene composition and flexibility, PE-Xa pipes significantly reduce noise transmission. Even at higher water flow speeds (up to 2.5 m/sec), they minimize acoustic wave propagation compared to metal pipes.

Fittings
The PullFitt PN10 system employs polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) for its plastic fitting bodies and high-quality European brass (CW617N) for threaded connections. Both materials meet the health regulations of the most stringent countries in the European Union. The fittings are designed and manufactured in accordance with the UNEEN ISO 15875 standard, which governs plastic piping systems for hot and cold-water installations using PE-X.
Benefits of PPSU Fittings
The PPSU version is made from a high-performance material specifically designed for potable water systems, offering several advantages:
Minimal internal roughness: This results in lower pressure loss compared to brass fittings, ensuring better flow. Outstanding chemical resistance: The material is resistant to chlorine in water, preventing galvanic corrosion and oxidation issues. It is also compatible with a wide range of construction materials. Lightweight: PPSU fittings are significantly lighter than brass alternatives, making them easier to handle and install. Exceptional impact resistance: These fittings are robust and durable, able to withstand high impacts without fracturing. High thermal tolerance: The material can withstand temperatures of up to 134 ºC without compromising its integrity. Noise reduction: Due to its low roughness coefficient, PPSU helps reduce noise from water flow and mitigates water hammer by 2 to 3 times compared to traditional copper or brass systems.
