IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
HOW IT WORKS
Flying Insects are attracted to the unit by UV light. Bugs are killed upon contact with bug zapper. Dusk-til-dawn sensor turns the flame effect on and off. WARNING: When using electric appliances, basic precautions should always be followed, Including the following:
- To disconnect, remove plug from outlet.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before servicing or cleaning.
- Connect only to a circuit that is protected by a ground-fault circuit-interrupter (GFCI)
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment.

IMPORTANT CORD & SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This product is for (household) outdoor use only. The product is equipped with a 2-prong plug to fit the proper type receptacies. To reduce the risk of electric shock, only plug Into a property Instaled outet. Extension cords used with this product must be marked with sutlix letters “W-A” and with a tag saying, *Sultable for use with Outdoor Appllances. Use only extension cords that have plugs and receptacles that match the product plug. Electrical rating of the extension cord must be as great as the electrical rating of the product. Do not attempt to make repairs on the unit. Call our customer service department at 1-800-799-7302 for additional questions or assistance.
WARNING: Skin or eye damage may result from directly lewing the light produced by the product.
WARNING: If the cord appears damaged, do not attempt to use or plug in the product.
- Only use compatible outdoor rated extension cords and outies for this unit.
- Never carry the unit by the cord. Only unplug by pulling on the plug.
- Keep extension cords off the ground and ensure tight connection of cords.
- Store product indoors in original packing materials and out of reach of children.
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate this device.

- To Reduce the Risk of Electric Shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.
- CAUTION – Do not stick foreign objects, metal objects or fingers into the unit.
- Confirm if the device requires an extension cord connection to the power supply cord.
- A recommendation of the type of extension cord to be used, such as Use extension cord marked SJW-A, SJEW-A, or SJTW-A only*, or the equivalent.
- Use onty extension cords which have plugs and receptacles which accept the product’s plug. Replace or repair damaged cords.
- The electrical rating of the extension cord must be as great as the electrical rating of the product.
- Don’t Abuse Cord – Never carry product by cord or yank it to disconnect from receptacle. Keep cord from heat, oil, and sharp edges.
- Disconnect the product from the power supply when not in use, before servicing, when changing bulbs, cleaning, and similar actions.
- Do not insert foreign objects Into this product
- Outdoor extension cords must be used with outdoor use products and are surface marked with suffix letters “W-A” and with a tag stating “Suitable for Use with Outdoor Appliances”.
- The connection to an extension cord should be kept dry and aff the ground.
- Store products Indoors when not in use – out of reach of children.
- Do not clean this product with a water spray or similar method.
- The product should only be connected to a circuit that is protected by a ground-fault circuit-interrupter

- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabliües, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction conceding use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- If the SUPPLY CORD is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarity qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- WARNING: The lamps in this appliance cannot be replaced. The appliance can not be repaired or maintenanced by the user.
- The appliance is suitable for outdoor use.
- WARNING: An electric shock hazard may exist if water from a garden hose is directed at the Insect kilter.
- When using extension cords, keep the socket-outlet away from moisture and avoid damage to the cord.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
SERVICING OF DOUBLE-INSULATED APPLIANCES
In a double-Insulated appliance, two systems of Insulation are provided Instead of grounding. No grounding means is provided on a double-insulated appliance, nor should a means for grounding be added to the appliance. Servicing of a double-insulated appliance requires extreme care and knowledge of the system, and should be done only by qualified service personnel. Replacement parts for a double-Insulated appliance must be identical to those parts in the appliance.
INSTALLATIONS & OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Unpack the zapper.
- Hang the device on a shepherd’s hook or mounted hook (4 feet off the ground is recommended – SOLD SEPARATELY.
- Plug cord into an outlet or UL listed extension cord as described in “IMPORTANT CORD & SAFETY INFORMATION.”
- For best results, leave unit plugged in except when cleaning or servicing. The dusk to dawn sensor will tum the unit on each night.
- Pesky flying insect activity Is highest outdoors at night. For best results, keep the unit away for competing light sources. Intended for household use.
- Place the unit at least 10 to 20 feet away from where people will be sitting to draw insects away from outdoor living areas.
- This unit is all-weather resistant and designed for outdoor use only.
CLEANING
- Be sure to clean the unit once per week.
- To clean, unplug the unit.
- Gently aim canned/compressed air through the openings of the zapper window. Plug the unit back in for continued use.
- Open the bottom cap once per week and discard dead Insects and debris.
