Get started

  1. Charge the built-in battery:

    The portable radio is powered by a built-in rechargeable
    battery. To charge the battery:

    • Connect the TYPE-C socket on the portable radio to a 5V, 2A
      outlet using the provided TYPE-C cable.
    • When charging, the icon ‘ ‘ will be displayed. Once fully

  2. Adjust volume:

3 Get started

Always follow the instructions in this chapter in sequence.
Charge the built-in battery
The portable radio is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery.
Note · An icon ‘ ‘ is shown when the battery power is low.
Please recharge the built-in battery as soon as possible.
Connect the TYPE-C socket on the portable radio to an outlet (5V 2A) by using the provided TYPE-C cable.

· Press to turn the unit on. The radio switches to the last selected source.
· Press to switch the unit to Standby.
Note · Bluetooth device not connected for more than 15 minutes
or connected but not playing, the radio switches to standby mode automatically.
· In any mode, press and hold for three seconds to turn
off the unit directly. The display screen turns off.

Adjust volume
While listening, rotate the knob to adjust volume.

When the portable radio is being charged, the icon ‘ ‘ is shown. When the portable radio is fully charged, the icon ‘ ‘ is shown.
Note
· Please note that your device contains built-in lithium
batteries. The charging capacity of lithium batteries will decrease over time due to their self-discharge characteristics. To ensure the longevity of your device’s battery, we recommend charging the built-in lithium battery to around 50% every 6 months when the device is not in use.

Adjust display brightness

[Backlight level], and then press SELECT to conrm. 4 Turn the rotary knob or press / to select brightness level (High, Medium, Low) on the display screen, and then press SELECT to conrm. 5 Press to exit the menu.

When the unit is in standby mode, you can access the menu for control options.

· The unit exits alarm setting mode after being idle for 30 seconds.
· If DAB/FM is selected as the alarm source but the preset station is not selected, BUZZER is activated automatically.
· Alarm timeout is 60 minutes if there is no user action.

Manual tuning

As well as the auto tune function, you can manually tune the receiver. This can help you when aligning your aerial or when adding stations that were missed during auto tuning.

numbered from 5A to13F, then press

may cause interference. · The unit will also be disconnected when your device is
moved beyond the operational range.

Connect Bluetooth®
1 Press to select Bluetooth mode. [Not Connected] will appear.
2 On your Bluetooth device, switch on Bluetooth, search for [Philips TAV2000DB] to start connection. If connected successfully: You will hear a prompt sound. [Connected] will appear.

Disconnect Bluetooth®

· Switch to another source on the unit; · Disable the function from your Bluetooth®
device;

Press and hold for three seconds to disconnect Bluetooth connection. If disconnected successfully:
You will hear a prompt sound. [Pairing] will appear.
