Setting up the monitor
Installation
- Place the monitor face down on a soft and smooth surface taking care to avoid scratching or damaging the screen.
- Attach/Slide the base column with the monitor until it clicks into position.
- Hold the monitor base stand with both hands and firmly insert the base stand into the base column.
Connecting to your PC
- Connecting to the DVI cable one side into LCD and the other into your system.
- Connecting to HDMI cable one side into LCD and the other into your system.
(Depending on the model)
- Switch the monitor’s power ON and OFF.
- Access the OSD menu. Confirm the OSD adjustment.
- Return to the previous OSD level.
- Adjust the brightness level.
- Adjust the OSD menu.
- Change display format.
- Automatically adjust the monitor.

What is On-Screen Display (OSD)?
- On-Screen Display (OSD) is a feature in all Philips LCD monitors.
- It allows an end user to adjust screen performance or select functions of the monitors directly through an on-screen instruction window.
- A user-friendly screen display interface is shown below:
- Basic and simple instructions on the control keys
- In the OSD shown above, you can press buttons at the front bezel of the monitor to move the cursor and press the OK button to confirm the choice or change.

The recommended refresh rate for an LCD monitor is 60 Hz.
The best results are obtained when the room has subdued lighting. Set the Contrast to a level of approximately 85, Brightness to 45-50, Colour to 50-55, and sharpness to 5-7.
Select Start > Settings > System > Display, and choose a screen orientation from the drop-down list labeled Orientation.
Curved monitors provide less distortion, a wider field of view, and better viewing angles to prevent you from tiring out your eyes. Bottom Line: If your eyes hurt from staring at computers all day, consider getting a curved monitor that lets you take in the whole picture at once without straining your eyes.
When it comes to picture quality, full-array LED monitors are almost always superior to LCD monitors. But bear in mind that only full-array LEDs are superior. Edge-lit LEDs may actually be inferior to LCD monitors.
The projection distance needs to be 1.2 times the width of your desired screen size. You can also use digital zoom to reduce the screen size up to 80%. To do so, select Settings on the upper right of the home screen and press OK on your remote control.

The refresh rate of your display refers to how many times per second the display is able to draw a new image. This is measured in Hertz (Hz). For example, if your display has a refresh rate of 144Hz, it is refreshing the image 144 times per second.
The display itself has a resolution of 1920 x 1080p.

Using the remote control for display, press the ‘9’ button. This will take you to the Signagelive settings page where you can set the screen rotation. Set the screen rotation to either 90 degrees or 270 degrees depending on which way you have mounted the display.
