SENSOR PROBE INSTALLATION (FIG. A AND FIG. B)
- Do not install sensor probes in tank sensor ports before loading the tank with gravel and/or resin. Sensor probes could be damaged by falling gravel and/or resin during loading. (Reference “5800 XTR2 Enhanced with AccuSense Technology Top 3 Tips for Success” for tips on application suggestions.)
- Load sensor resin tank with distributor tube, gravel, and/or resin per your normal loading procedure. Dry loading is preferred as some water will exit the tank through the sensor ports without probes installed.
- Please note that the sensor probe with the longest wire must be installed in the lower tank sensor port.
- Use a clean cloth to remove any debris (resin, etc.) from the tank bulkheads (sensor tank ports, Fig. A).
- Apply 100% silicone lubricant (included) to each O-ring and install it in the O-ring groove on the end of each probe.
NOTE: Be careful not to get silicone on the gold-plated sensor probe pins, as this could affect sensor conductivity readings. - The probe assemblies are keyed for easy alignment; align the probe pins to the pin holes in the tank, and push each probe into the tank bulkhead.
- Install the red probe retainer clips into the bulkhead. Ensure that each clip is fully seated in the bulkhead.
- Plug the E-sensor wire harness into the appropriate circuit board receptacle, Fig. B.
- Connect the white end of the sensor wire harness to the white end of the sensor probe assembly.
- Install the probe cover included with the tank.
BEGIN VALVE SETUP
Follow the setup instructions outlined in the Fleck 5800 XTR2 Service Manual as you power up the system.
To Choose Sensor Regeneration Type
From the XTR2 main Master Settings screen, press the valve button to display the valve screen.

Proceed to program valve settings as normal, including meter, when using AccuSense with meter (reference 5800 XTR2 Service Manual for additional instructions).
NEW AACCUSERSFEATURES
LOW SALT EVENT
Low salt event monitors the conductivity of brine solution salt during regeneration using the sensors. When a low salt event occurs, the user will be alerted with a no salt alarm on the control. There will also be a counter in the diagnostic pages to track how many times this low-salt event has taken place. This feature can be turned ON/OFF by the user in master settings under the valve submenu.
NEW ACCUSERS FEATURES CONTINUED
NEW HARDNESS HISTORY IN THE DIAGNOSTIC MENU
For AccuSense Metered, a new diagnostic screen displays the last four (4) hardness values and the date of hardness change.
CLEANING CYCLE REGENERATION
Cleaning cycle regen is a regeneration that performs double the user-set backwash and rapid rinse times to increase the time to clean and rinse the media. This setting sets the number of standard regeneration cycles, 1-25, between each cleaning cycle regeneration.
ADAPTIVE CALENDAR OVERRIDE (ADP)
Adaptive calendar override is a feature that adjusts the calendar override based on the average days between regions. This allows the calendar override to be modified based on the usage and regen patterns.
Available Settings for AccuSense and AccuSense Metered | |
Day Override |
