Use

Switching on/off

  • Switching on: Press the buttonPARKSIDE-PSSFS-3-A2-Non-Contact-Voltage-Detector-fig-5 [1]. The green LED lights up. The built-in buzzer beeps once.
  • Switching off: Press the PARKSIDE-PSSFS-3-A2-Non-Contact-Voltage-Detector-fig-5button again. The green LED goes off. The built-in buzzer beeps twice.
  • Automatic power off: If the product is not in use for more than approx. 5 minutes, the product automatically powers off itself. Press thePARKSIDE-PSSFS-3-A2-Non-Contact-Voltage-Detector-fig-5 button to power on the product again.

Disabling the buzzer’s beep sounds during operation

  1. Switch off the product (see “Switching on/off“).
  2. Press and hold the PARKSIDE-PSSFS-3-A2-Non-Contact-Voltage-Detector-fig-5button [1] until the green LED lights up. The built-in buzzer beeps once. The buzzer is now disabled until the product is switched off.

Detecting AC voltage

Testing the product’s functionality

  1. Switch on the product: Press the PARKSIDE-PSSFS-3-A2-Non-Contact-Voltage-Detector-fig-5button [1]. The green LED lights up. The buzzer beeps once. The product is ready for AC voltage detection.
  2. Move the tip [6] close to a known AC voltage (such as a socket-outlet). If the red LED flashes and the built-in buzzer beeps once, the product can be used.

Detecting AC voltage

  1. Check if the product his still switched on (The green LED remains on).
  2. Move the tip [6] close to the wire or socket to be tested.
    • When the product detects AC voltage, the red LED flashes and the buzzer beeps once. The closer you move the product to the wire or socket, the higher the flashing frequency of the red LED and the beeping frequency of the buzzer.
  • Switching off: Press the PARKSIDE-PSSFS-3-A2-Non-Contact-Voltage-Detector-fig-5button [1] again. The green LED goes off. The buzzer beeps twice.

NOTES:

  • The tip [6] must be close enough to the object to be tested.
  • For different wires or sockets to be tested, the product’s detection sensitivity may be different. This is normal.
  • If the buzzer has been disabled, the product will not beep during detection (see “Disabling the buzzer’s beep sounds during operation“).

Flashlight
