Panduit Temperature and humidity sensors are designed to add comprehensive environmental monitoring to the Panduit G5/G6 iPDU and UPS.
The environmental sensors are designed with an embedded microchip that converts analog signals to digital format before data travels to the iPDU and UPS providing greater data accuracy. This smart design also enables easy plug-and-play installation that takes just moments to complete. Installation of the sensors and ongoing equipment maintenance is further facilitated by using a quick disconnect coupler and standard ethernet cable (sold separately) that allow for the convenient positioning of sensors, movement of equipment, and an easy disconnect method for removing rack enclosure doors.
Note: Panduit Temperature and Humidity Sensors are designed to connect to the Panduit G5/G6 iPDU and UPS only. Connecting them to another device may result in damage.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The following instructions apply to all temperature and the humidity sensors:
- Secure the sensor box to the perforated rack enclosure door by threading a cable tie through the recessed channel in the sensor box and through the door.
Note: There are two recessed channels and a magnet on the back of the sensor box to help secure the sensor. - Secure the RJ45 cable along the desired path to the G5/G6 iPDU or UPS using the included cable ties.
- For the EC001 sensors only: • Secure the T1 temperature probe near the top of the cabinet
- Secure the T2 temperature/humidity probe (body) near the center of the cabinet
- Secure the T3 temperature probe near the bottom of the cabinet
- If desired, use a RJ45 quick disconnect coupler and a standard ethernet cable to extend the length of the sensor input cable and/or to serve as an easy disconnect point for rack door removal.
- Plug the RJ45 cable into a Sensor Port on the Panduit G5/G6 iPDU, UPS or Sensor Hub (Panduit PN: EF001).
- Using the Web UI, set up specific conditions to monitor and send an alarm.
- The environmental sensors are now installed and ready for use.
