Receiver, Harness, and Repeater Components

The TireView TPMS system consists of the following
components:

  • TireView Repeater
  • TireView TPMS Telematics Receiver
  • Goodyear TPMS PLUS app*
  • TireView Amp to DB9 Harness

*Note: Sensors are not paired with the receiver. Refer to the
separate installation manual for pairing instructions.

TireView Repeater Installation Procedures

The TireView repeater amplifies sensor signals to the TireView
unit for proper operation.

CAUTION: Proper installation of the repeater is
crucial for system functionality. Failure to install the repeater
correctly could void the warranty.

  1. Mount the TireView repeater on the tractor/truck or trailer in
    the recommended location. The unit is waterproof and can be
    installed inside or outside.
  2. Ensure the repeater harness reaches the power source, typically
    the battery box or battery access area.
  3. Connect the 12V+ (Red) and 12V- (Black) wires with ring
    terminals from the repeater to the battery terminals.

NOTE: The red light on the repeater will
illuminate when it receives power, indicating proper functioning.
No further setup is required for the repeater.

About this Manual This manual provides installation and maintenance procedures for TireView® TPMS by P.S.I. Use the procedures in this manual to install the system on commercial vehicles equipped with the GEOTAB GO Device. Before You Begin

Introduction
The P.S.I.® TireView® Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is designed to monitor air pressure and temperature in the tire. It is only for added safety and not meant to replace regular tire maintenance and exercise of reasonable care when operating a motor vehicle. The system cannot prevent accidents nor will P.S.I.® be responsible for damage or injury due to (a) improper use,(b) failure to follow the product manufacturer’s instructions or to perform preventative maintenance, (c) unauthorized repair or modifications, (d) use of products beyond their useful life, or (e) external causes such as accidents, abuse, or other actions or events outside of P.S.I.® control.

Introduction
This manual is intended to provide guidance when installing the TPMS Receiver, Harness and Repeater accessories for TPMS system on vehicles equipped with the GEOTAB GO Device. Your configuration may vary due to type of equipment. Consult your support team for guidance.

TireView Repeater Installation Procedures
The TireView repeater will boost the signal from the sensors to the TireView unit.
CAUTION The repeater must be installed to help ensure proper operation of the TireView system. Failure to install the repeater could void warranty.
1. The TireView repeater MUST be mounted on the tractor/truck or trailer in the recommended location. The unit is waterproof and can be mounted inside or outside. See Figure 1.
2. Test fit repeater and make sure harness reaches the power source, typically the battery box or battery access area.
3. Connect the 12V+(Red) and 12V-(Black) wires with ring terminals from the repeater to the battery terminals. See Figure 2.
NOTE: When the Repeater receives power, the red light on the Repeater will illuminate (constant or blinking). No additional setup is needed for the repeater.

4. Route harness for power source to repeater location and secure using zip ties. See Figure 3 .

5. Secure the Repeater and any extra harness to the tractor/truck/trailer using zip ties, screws or rivets. See Figure 4.

TireView Receiver Installation Procedures
1. Locate Geotab GO Device. Location will vary depending on type of vehicle. These are typically installed in the dash or other access panel areas. See Figure 5.

2. Release the Geotab GO Device from any zip ties or securing methods to enable access to ports and ID label. See Figure 6.

3. Install Geotab IOX RS232F Harness into GO Device using the mini-USB port. See Figure 7.
NOTE: If there is an existing device plugged into the mini-USB port, you must remove it, plug in the IOXRS232F cable, remove the protective cap in the IOXRS232F cable connector and then connect the original accessory to the new IOX-RS232F cable, securing all connections with zip ties.

4. Connect TireView Amp to DB9 Harness to the IOX RS232F Harness using the DB9 connectors. See Figure 8.

5. Plug the Amp Connector on the TireView Amp to DB9 Harness into the TireView Receiver. See Figure 9.

6. Splice the 12V+(Red) and 12V-(Black) wires together on both harnesses using WAGO push-to-connect. See Figure 10.

NOTE: Depending on harness, you may need to trim and strip wires for connection.

CAUTION Use one WAGO connector for 12V+(Red) and a separate WAGO connector for 12V-(Black). See diagram below.

7. Secure any loose cables and components with zip ties as needed and tuck everything into the Geotab GO Device access area. See Figure 11.

For Goodyear TPMS Plus Applications
8. Refer to Goodyear TPMS PLUS “Vehicle Setup and System Programming” manual to capture Geotab GO Device information prior to next step. See Figure 12.

9. Proceed with Sensor pairing as outlined in the Goodyear TPMS PLUS “Vehicle Setup and System Programming” manual. See Figure 13.
