Rules of Installation, Safe Use, Storage, Transport and Disposal
Please read this section carefully before installing and connecting the device. Make sure that the device and cables are not mechanically damaged. The device must only be used for its intended purpose (management of four computers with one monitor, one keyboard and one mouse), installation must be carried out in accordance with the documentation placed on the official site. The device is designed for operation in a dry, clean, dust-free and well-ventilated area, away from powerful source of heat. Do not use it outside or in places with high humidity. Do not place foreign objects on the device. The air vents of the device must not be blocked. The ambient temperature in the immediate vicinity of the device and inside the housing must be between 0 to 50 ºС. The power supply must comply with the parameters specified in the technical specifications of the device. Do not open the device housing! Power off the device before cleaning it from dirt and dust. Remove dust with a damp cloth. Do not use liquid/aerosol cleaners or magnetic/static cleaning devices. Avoid getting moisture into the device. Storage and transport of the device is allowed only in factory packaging at temperature and humidity specified in the technical specifications. Realization – without restriction. At the end of the product’s life, please contact an authorized dealer for equipment disposal. The service life of the device is 2 years.
Installing the OKVM4U
The OKVM4U supports hot-plugging. You don’t need to turn your computers off before installing the device.
- Attach your USB keyboard connector to the console USB port of the OKVM4U.
- Attach your USB mouse connector to the console USB port of the OKVM4U.
- Attach your monitor’s HDB 15 VGA connector to the console port of the OKVM4U.
The following steps below apply to each computer that you are using with your OKVM4U. - Attach the KVM cable (VGA connector) to the VGA port of the OKVM4U.
- Attach the KVM cable (USB connector) to the USB port located on the back of your computer case.
- Attach the KVM cable (VGA connector) to the VGA port located on the back of your computer case.
Switching with the OKVM4U
The OKVM4U features the 1, 2, 3, 4 buttons located on the top panel to switch quickly and easily between your computers.
Note: Don’t switch PC without finishing PC boot-up.
