Device Overview

The KIMO HD 110 is a portable thermo-hygrometer designed for measuring temperature and relative humidity. It features a digital LCD display, CMOS sensor, and a user-friendly interface with five control keys.

Operating Instructions

Perform a Measurement

  1. Turn on the device by pressing the [On/Off/Esc] key. The device displays its name "HD110" then the measured values.
  2. Place the probe in the required location.
  3. The device displays the temperature and hygrometry measurements.
  4. Press the [OK] key. The device displays the dew point measurement with the temperature measurement.
  5. Press the [OK] key again. The device displays the dew point measurement with the hygrometry measurement.

Freeze the Measurement

During a measurement:

  • Press the [Hold/min/max] key to freeze the measurement. The word "Hold" will display on screen, and the measurements will be frozen.
  • Press the [On/Off/Esc] key to exit the hold function. The device returns to the normal measurement display.

Display Minimum and Maximum Values

Once the measurement is frozen:

  • Press the [Hold/min/max] key. The device displays the maximum hygrometry value at the top of the screen and the minimum hygrometry value at the bottom.
  • Press the [Hold/min/max] key again. The device displays the maximum temperature value at the top and the minimum temperature value at the bottom.
  • Press the [Hold/min/max] key a third time. The device displays the maximum dew point value at the top and the minimum dew point value at the bottom.
  • Press [On/Off/Esc] to return to the normal measurement display.

Adjusting the Device Settings

Device Drop-down Menu

To access device settings, use the [Select] and [OK] keys as described in the following sub-sections.

Select the Measuring Unit

  1. Press the [Select] key. The "UNIT" indicator blinks on screen.
  2. Press the [OK] key. The currently used measuring unit blinks at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Press the [Select] key to cycle through the available units: °C or °F.
  4. Press the [OK] key to validate your selection. The "UNIT" indicator will blink again.
  5. Press the [On/Off/Esc] key to return to the measurement display.

Adjust the Auto Shut-off

The device must be on and displaying measurements.

  1. Press the [Select] key repeatedly until "AUTO OFF" blinks on screen.
  2. Press the [OK] key. The current auto shut-off time setting blinks on screen.
  3. Press the [Select] key to choose the desired auto shut-off time: 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90, 105, 120 minutes, or OFF.
  4. Press the [OK] key to validate the setting.
  5. Press the [On/Off/Esc] key to return to the measurement display.

Activate or Deactivate the Keys Beep

The device must be on and displaying measurements.

  1. Press the [Select] key repeatedly until "BEEP" blinks on screen.
  2. Press the [OK] key. "OFF" or "ON" blinks on screen, indicating the current setting.
  3. Press the [Select] key to toggle between activating the keys beep ("ON") or deactivating it ("OFF").
  4. Press the [OK] key to validate your choice.
  5. Press the [On/Off/Esc] key to return to the measurement display.

Activate the Backlight

  • Press the [Backlight] key to activate the device's backlight.
  • Press the [Backlight] key again to deactivate the backlight.

Change the Batteries

  1. Remove the front part at the back of the device.
  2. Replace the old batteries with new AAA LR03 1.5 V batteries.
  3. Replace the front part.
