Product Usage Instructions

1. Firmware Update Process:

1. Download the firmware update kit from the website on your PC or
   Mac.
2. Connect your NUX Optima Air to your computer using a quality
   sync/data cable.

3. Run NUX DFU Updater.

   Keep holding down both foot-switches on the pedal.

   Plug in the power supply (9V/DC, Negative Center) while still
   holding the foot-switches.

   Release both foot-switches when you see “Device Connected”.

4. Select the new firmware file in the updater software.

   Click the “Start Update” button.

5. Wait for the progress to complete.

   During the upgrade process, both LED indicators will flash.

   Once the progress is done, both LED indicators will stay on.

6. Finish updating by:

   a. Closing NUX DFU Updater.

   b. Unplugging the power supply and Micro-USB cable from the
   pedal.

   c. Try out the new features and tones.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: How do I know if my firmware update was successful?

A: After completing the update process, both LED indicators on
the pedal will stay on, indicating a successful update.

Q: Can I revert to the previous firmware version?

A: Unfortunately, reverting to a previous firmware version is
not supported once you have updated to a newer version.
