Usage Instructions
Set up on a macOS Computer
Set up the keyboard type
When the USB receiver is plugged into a macOS computer for the first time, you will need to use the Keyboard Setup Assistant to set the keyboard type for the USB receiver. The following steps are based on macOS Monterey version 12.2.1:

- Upon inserting the USB receiver, the Keyboard Setting Assistant should automatically pop up in macOS (Figure 1).
- Click Continue. A new window will appear (Figure 2). Press the up/down key on the wireless presenter several times. Note: This refers to the up/down key on the wireless presenter, not on your computer keyboard.
- Wait for a moment. A window stating “Your keyboard cannot be identified” will pop up (Figure 3).
- Click OK. Another window will appear (Figure 4). Select ANSI keyboard type and then click Done.
Setup of System Permissions
Norwii Highlight series wireless presenters support advanced functions such as Digital Laser, Highlight, and Magnifier. These features require specific system permissions to be set up.
- Install the Norwii Presenter App:
- You can download the DMG files for Mac OS from the following link: https://www.norwii.com/downloaden/list-168-en.html
- Some Highlight series wireless presenters may have a built-in USB storage. Users can install the Norwii Presenter software directly from this USB storage.
- After the software is installed and launched, you will be prompted to open the necessary system Security & Privacy permissions (Figure 2).
- The software requires three specific permissions: Input Monitoring, Screen Recording, and Accessibility. If these have not been set previously, click on Grant permissions in the “About” tab. Then, open the corresponding permissions in the window that appears (Figure 3).
Troubleshooting
- Keyboard Identification Process Interrupted or Assistant Not Popping Up:If the identification process is unexpectedly interrupted, or if the Keyboard Setting Assistant window does not automatically appear after inserting the USB receiver:
- Open it by clicking Keyboard through Startup Console and System Preferences (Figure 5).
- Click Change Keyboard Type… (Figure 6). This will bring up the Keyboard Setting Assistant window again. Follow the steps outlined in the “Setup of Keyboard Type” section.
- Note: The “Change Keyboard type…” button will not be shown if the USB receiver is not inserted.
- Advanced Features Not Working (Digital Laser, Highlight, Magnifier):Ensure that the required system permissions (Input Monitoring, Screen Recording, and Accessibility) are granted to the Norwii Presenter App. Follow the steps in the “Setup of System Permissions” section to grant these permissions.
Setup of Keyboard Type
When the USB receiver is plugged into the USB port of a macOS computer for the first time, we need to use Keyboard Setup Assistant to set the keyboard type for the USB receiver. Thefollowing are the steps on MacOS Monterey version 12.2.1.

- When the USB receiver is inserted into the USB port of a macOS computer for the first time, the”Keyboard Setting Assistant” pops up in macOS system, as shown in Figure 1.

- Click “Continue” to pop up the window as shown in Figure 2. Press the up/down key of the wireless presenter for several times. Note that this is the up/down key of the wireless presenter, not the key on the computer keyboard.

- Wait for some time, and the windows as shown in Figure 3 pops up, prompting”Your keyboard cannot be identified”.

- Click “OK”, the windows as shown in Figure 4 will pop up, select ANSI keyboard type, andclick”Done”.

- If the identification process is interrupted unexpectedly or the windows of “KeyboardSettingAssistant” does not pop up automatically after the USB receiver is inserted, please openit byclickKeyboard through “Startup Console” and “System Preferences”, as shown in Figure 5.

- Click “Change Keyboard Type … ” and the window as shown in figure 6, pops up. Click”Change keyboard type…”, the windows of “Keyboard Setting Assistant” will pop up, follow the above steps to operate again. If the USB receiver is not inserted, the button of “Change Keyboard type… ”will not be shown up.

Setup of System Permissions
The Highlight series wireless presenters support the functions like Digital Laser, Highlight, Magnifier, need to set the system permisions.
- Please install Norwii Presenter APP. You can download dmg files used by Mac OS from below link below: https://www.norwii.com/downloaden/list-168-en.html. Some of the Highlight series wireless presenters have USB disk. Users can install Norwii Presenter software directly from the USB disk.
- After the software is installed and started, you will be prompted to open the security and privacy permissions required by the system, as shown in Figure 2.

- This software requires three permissions: Input Monitoring, Screen Recording, and Accessibility. If you haven’t set all the settings before, please click ontheGrant permissions in the “About” tab, and then open the corresponding permissions in the opened window, as shown in Figure 3.
