Opening the software

  • Start the computer from the power button.
  • The computer starts up to the desktop.
  • Start the recording software by double-clicking the icon Nordic CoRecorder
  • The web browser-based log-in window opens, which can connect to the recording software.
  • In Recording mode, it is possible to watch the cameras, add markers and put the recording on/off.
  • In Debriefing mode, it is possible to watch the cameras and recordings.
  • In Mobile mode its is possible to put the recording on/off, add markers without the camera pictures or activate the mobile device’s camera to the recording.
  • The software will remember the last used information and display those when opening the log-in window on a specific computer.
  • The software can be opened in three different Application modes: Recording, Debriefing and Mobile..

In Debriefing mode, it is possible to watch the cameras and recordings. Debriefing mode can be used for observers in another room.

  • In Mobile mode, it is possible to put the recording on/off, add markers without the camera pictures or activate the mobile device’s camera for the recording.
  • Mobile mode is meant for smartphones and tablets.

Screen layout

  • The individual camera window can be maximised/minimised by double-clicking on the image.
  • You can remove the camera or select another camera for the window from the drop-down menu by clicking on the camera name.
  • The current layout can be saved to a scene view.

Camera audio

  • Activate Audio Selection from the upper right corner of the camera window to hear the sounds from the camera’s microphone.
  • The default setting is that you can listen to one microphone at a time.
  • Multiple audio sources can be enabled in the software settings for situations where the cameras are in different rooms.
  • The external microphone connected to the computer can be activated with the Microphone button.

Pan-Tilt-Zoom controls

  • It is possible to control Pan-Tilt or Pan-Tilt-Zoom camera models from the software.
  • Activate PTZ controls from the upper right corner of the camera window.
  • PTZ controls are then visible on the camera window. Depending on the camera model, you can move and zoom the camera with the on-screen buttons. The camera moves more slowly when pressed inside the arrows.

Pan-Tilt-Zoom camera presets

  • In some PTZ camera models it is possible to save camera presets. Presets save the current angle and zoom of the camera.
  • By selecting the preset, the camera moves and zooms automatically to that saved location.
  • The preset menu shows already made presets even when the PTZ controls are not activated.

  • Activate PTZ controls to modify presets with the menu. The home preset can be saved with its button.
  • Make a new one, overwrite an old or delete a preset.

Making a recording

  • Recording mode controls – Stop Recording
  • Press the STOP button to stop the recording, and a confirmation window opens.
  • By pressing Cancel, the recording will continue.

  • Press Play to watch the recording. Activate the desired camera audio.
  • Use the Next / Previous marker buttons to jump between the recording markers. Marker icons and comments are visible on top of the screen layout.
  • Move the recording by clicking the desired place on the timeline.

Exporting videos

  • Recordings can be exported to an .mp4 format video file.
  • Select a recording in the recording list, and it will load to the timeline.
  • Put the screen layout the way you want it to also be on the exported video. For example a four view layout or just a one view layout.

Press the Export recording button, and a menu will open.

  • Rename the video if needed and select the resolution.
  • Including text enabled will add the markers to the video.
  • Press Export to start.
  • When finished, the video can be downloaded to the computer by clicking on the download button.

Editing recordings

  • Recordings can be edited after the recording has finished.

  • The Script menu shows all the recording’s markers.
  • Edit a marker: Click the arrow next to the marker’s name, and an Edit note pop-up appears. Marker time, colour, icon and text can be edited. Apply the changes.
  • Add a new marker:Move the timeline where the new marker is wanted. Press the add a new marker button and Apply the changes.

  • Click and drag from left to right an area of the timeline. Release the press to apply the cut. The software will add jump or stop functions accordingly.

Software options required logging in as Admin. Log in with Admin and click on the Settings icon. System settings open.

  • Network latency (ms) = 200
    • The delay on the cameras compared to real life. Recommended minimum value is 200-500 ms.
  • Marker delay (ms) = 2000
    • How much earlier will the markers appear on the recordings?
  • Marker display time (ms) = 3000
    • How long will the markers be shown on the recordings?
  • Single audio source = enabled.
    • When enabled, only one audio source can be listened at once. If disabled, multiple audio sources can be listened.
  • Remove recordings = never.r
    • How old d recording will be automatically deleted. The recordings must be deleted manually.

  • All the cameras are added to the software on the Sources page.
  • New cameras can be added with the Add button.

Scenes can be added and modified with the Scenes page. Scenes are visible to the user and consist of a group of cameras and markers.
