Product Usage Instructions:

1. Connections Overview:

The Nodestream Flex comes with various connection options
including LAN, USB, HDMI, and RS232 Serial. The device also
features analog audio input/output and HDMI video wall outputs in
Decoder mode.

2. Status LED:

The Status LED indicates system status with different
colors:

  • BLUE – System starting
  • GREEN – Solid (streaming), Flashing (idle)
  • RED – Network issue

3. Installation:

The device can be freestanding or mounted using the supplied
surface mount adapters or optional 19 rackmount shelf.

4. Configuration via Web Interface:

To configure the device:

  1. Access the Web Interface from a computer on the same
    network.
  2. Login with username & password = admin.
  3. Configure your network settings.
  4. Select device mode and configure your server on the System
    page.

FAQ:

Issue: Device not powering

Cause: DC not connected, Incorrect polarity,
Faulty or incompatible supply.

Resolution: Confirm supply is connected and
turned on. Check power input cable connection, test with an
alternative supply.

Issue: Nodestream X Server Connection Error

Cause: Network not connected, Network settings
incorrect, Firewall blocking comms.

Resolution: Check Ethernet cable connection,
verify network settings, ensure Firewall settings are correct.

Issue: No video input

Cause: Forgot login or network details.

Resolution: Refer to the User Manual for login
and network details.

Issue: Nodestream Live Could not resolve hostname

Cause: Network settings incorrect.

Resolution: Check and update network settings
as needed.

Issue: Status LED RED

Cause: No resolution provided in manual.

· Ensure adequate space around heat sink for cooling · For ambient temperatures exceeding 35°C, 0.5m/s of airflow across the heatsink
is required

Configuration

Web Interface

1. Access the Web Interface

Via a computer on the same network

DHCP Enabled Network

From the web browser of a PC connected to the same LAN, navigate to: device serial.local – e.g. au2518nsfx1a012.local, or the IP address of the device

Non DHCP Enabled Network

Configure the IPv4 network settings of a PC connected to the same LAN to:

IP Subnet Gateway

192.168.100.102 255.255.255.252 192.168.100.100

From a web browser, navigate to: 192.168.100.101

· Device will “fall back” to a static IP address when not connected to a DHCP enabled network – approximately 30 seconds after boot
· Due to the possibility of conflicting IP addresses, only 1 device can be configured at a time. Once configured, the device can remain connected

On the device Press alt+F1 on a connected keyboard
