Usage Instructions

• As illustrated, after unscrewing the battery cap, insert/remove the battery(s) and screw to tighten the tail cap. Please remove the insulation film before first use.
• The product is equipped with an intelligent charging system.
• As illustrated, use the USB cable to connect an external power supply (e.g. an adapter, power bank or other USB charging devices) to the charging port to begin the charging process.
• The product supports QC/PD fast charging.
• During the charging process, the green battery indicators will gradually transition from flashing to a steady light to display the battery level.
• When the battery is fully charged, the product will automatically cease the charging process and the green battery indicators will become steadily lit to inform the user.
• The lighting function is available during charging, except for LUMIN SHIELD, SEARCH, and STROBE.
• The normal charging time for a 21700 Li-ion battery (5,500mAh) is approx. 3 hours (charged via a 5V/2A adapter); the fast charging time is approx. 2 hours (charged via a PD/QC adapter).
• Lockout (Default Setting): When the light is on / off, slide the Lockout Switch (Rapid Lock™) up to access Lockout Mode.
• The lock icon can be seen below the Lockout Switch (Rapid Lock™). All buttons are unavailable to activate the flashlight in Lockout Mode.
• Unlock: In Lockout Mode, slide down the Lockout Switch (Rapid Lock™) to exit Lockout Mode.

Battery Options

• The product is only compatible with NITECORE 21700 i Series batteries with an output over 15A and CR123/RCR123 batteries.

Note:

1. DO NOT attempt to use the product to charge CR123/RCR123 batteries.
2. The product is NOT compatible with conventional 21700/18650 batteries.
3. When using CR123/RCR123 batteries, the maximum output is limited to 1,000 lumens.

Using a 21700 Li-ion Battery:

Note: The stated data is measured by using a 21700 rechargeable Li-ion battery (5,500mAh), in accordance with the international flashlight testing standards ANSI/PLATO FL 1-2019, at an ambient temperature of 26°C (79°F) from the NITECORE Lab. The data may vary in real world use due to different different battery usage or environmental conditions.

• The LUMIN SHIELD○R, SEARCH, and STROBE are only accessible when using NITECORE 21700 i Series batteries with an output over 15A.
• The data is tested without the temperature regulation.

Using 2 x CR123 Batteries

Note: The stated data is measured by using two CR123 batteries (1,600mAh), in accordance with the international flashlight testing standards ANSI/PLATO FL 1-2019, at an ambient temperature of 26°C (79°F) from the NITECORE Lab. The data may vary in real world use due to different battery usage or environmental conditions.

• The data is tested without the temperature regulation.

Operating Instructions

Battery Installation / Removal

• As illustrated, after unscrewing the battery cap, insert / remove the battery(s) and screw to tighten the tail cap. Please remove the insulation film before first use.

Warning: Ensure the battery(s) is/are inserted with the positive end facing towards the head. The product will not work if the battery(s) is/are incorrectly inserted.

Charging Function

The product is equipped with an intelligent charging system. As illustrated, use the USB cable to connect an external power supply (e.g. an adapter, power bank or other USB charging devices) to the charging port to begin the charging process.

• The product supports QC/PD fast charging. During the charging process, the green battery indicators will gradually transition from flashing to a steady light to display the battery level.
• When the battery is fully charged, the product will automatically cease the charging process and the green battery indicators will become steadily turned on to inform the user.
• The lighting function is available during charging, except for LUMIN SHIELD®, SEARCH, and STROBE.

On / Off
On:

• When the light is off, full press the Tail Button to access TURBO (Default Setting).
• When the light is off, half press the Tail Button to access MID (Default Setting).
• When the light is off, short press the SET Button to turn it on.

Off: When the light is on, full press the Tail Button to turn it off.
Note: When the light is turned on, the corresponding blue level indicators will light up and automatically turn off after 3 seconds of no operation.

Duty Grip

• The Duty grip supports Basic Mode and Advanced Mode, providing access to TURBO, HIGH, MID, LOW and WARNING FLASH. Users can select the desired mode.

Basic Mode (Default Setting)

• On: When the light is off, short press the SET Button to access LOW.
• Brightness Level Adjusting: After turning on the light, short press the SET Button within 3 seconds to cycle through the following sequence: LOW – MID – HIGH – TURBO- OFF.

Beam Pattern Switching (Default Setting: Floodlight):

• When LOW / MID / HIGH / TURBO is activated by short pressing the SET Button, press and hold the SET Button to cycle through the following sequence: Spotlight – Mixed Light – Floodlight.
• Release the button to select and memorize the beam pattern.
• The selected beam pattern will automatically apply to other brightness levels and WARNING FLASH. When reactivated, the product will automatically access the previously memorized beam pattern.

WARNING FLASH: When the light is off, press and hold the SET Button until the WARNING FLASH is activated. Short press the SET Button to turn the light off.
Off: After turning on the light, if there is no operation for 3 seconds, short press the SET Button to turn it off.

Advanced Mode

On: When the light is off, short press the SET Button to turn it on.
Note: In Advanced Mode, the product features brightness level memory function. When reactivated, it will automatically access the previous memorized brightness level.

Brightness Level Adjusting:

• When the light is on, short press the SET Button to cycle through the following sequence: LOW – MID – HIGH – TURBO.

Beam Pattern Switching (Default Setting:

• Floodlight): When LOW / MID / HIGH / TURBO is activated by short pressing the SET Button, short press the SET Button, and then immediately press and hold it. The light will cycle through the following sequence: Spotlight – Mixed Light – Floodlight. Release the button to select and memorize the beam pattern.
• The selected beam pattern will automatically apply to other brightness levels and WARNING FLASH. When reactivated, the product will automatically access the previously memorized brightness level and beam pattern.

WARNING FLASH: When the light is off, press and hold the SET Button until the WARNING FLASH is activated. Short press the SET Button to turn the light off.
Off: When the light is on, long press the SET Button to turn it off.

Mode Switching

• When the light is off, full press and hold the Tail Button. While holding it, quickly press the SET Button three times. The light will flash once (Basic Mode) or twice (Advanced Mode) to confirm that the mode has been successfully switched.

Tactical Grip

• The tactical grip provides access to TURBO / HIGH, MID / LOW and LUMIN SHIELD® / STROBE / SEARCH.

Tactical Momentary Illumination

• When the light is off, half press and hold the Tail Button to access MID (Default Setting). Release to turn it off.
• When the light is off, full press and hold the Tail Button to access TURBO (Default Setting). Release to turn it off.
• When the light is off, half press and hold the Engage Button to access LUMIN SHIELD® (Default Setting). Release to turn it off.
• When the light is off, full press and hold the Engage Button to access STROBE (Default Setting). Release to turn it off.

On

• When the light is off, half press the Tail Button to access MID (Default Setting). Half press the Tail Button again to switch between TURBO and MID.
• When the light is off, full press the Tail Button to access TURBO (Default Setting). Half press the Tail Button to switch between MID and TURBO.

Beam Pattern Switching (Default Setting: Floodlight)

• In the Basic Mode, after turning on the light by half pressing or full pressing the Tail Button, press and hold the SET Button to cycle through the following sequence:
• Spotlight – Mixed Light – Floodlight. Release to confirm and memorize the beam pattern for the current brightness level. When the brightness level is reactivated, the product will automatically access the previously memorized beam pattern.
• In the Advanced Mode, after turning on the light by half pressing or full pressing the Tail Button, short press the SET Button, and then immediately press and hold it. The light will cycle through the following sequence: Spotlight – Mixed Light – Floodlight. Release to confirm and memorize the beam pattern for the current brightness level. When the brightness level is reactivated, the product will automatically access the previously memorized beam pattern.

Note: When the light is activated by half pressing or full pressing the Tail Button, each brightness level supports independently selecting and memorizing a different beam pattern.

Off

• When the light is on, full press the Tail Button to turn it off.

Note: When LUMIN SHIELD® / STROBE / SEARCH is activated, the flashlight will automatically adjust the brightness to prevent overheating and prolong the lifespan of the flashlight. To restore the previous brightness, simply reactivate LUMIN SHIELD® / STROBE / SEARCH.

Customizable Button Settings

• The product features customizable buttons. Both half and full-press-and-hold of the Engage Button can be configured independently to directly access LUMIN SHIELD®, STROBE or SEARCH. Both half press and half-press-and-hold of the Tail Button can be configured to directly access LOW or MID, while full press and full-press-and-hold of the Tail Button can be configured to directly access HIGH or TURBO.

Engage Button Half-press-and-hold Configuration

• When the light is off, while half pressing and holding the Engage Button, long press the SET Button to cycle through the following sequence: LUMIN SHIELD® (Default Setting) – STROBE – SEARCH. Once the desirable output is selected, release both buttons. The light will memorize this setting for half-press-and-hold of the Engage Button.

Engage Button Full-press-and-hold Configuration

• When the light is off, while full pressing and holding the Engage Button, long press the SET Button to cycle through the following sequence: LUMIN SHIELD® – STROBE (Default Setting) – SEARCH. Once the desirable output is selected, release both buttons. The light will memorize this setting for full-press-and-hold of the Engage Button.

Tail Button Half Press / Half-press-and-hold Configuration

• When the light is off, while half pressing and holding the Tail Button, long press the SET Button to switch between LOW and MID (Default Setting). Once the desirable output is selected, release both buttons. The light will memorize this setting for both half press and half-press-and-hold of the Tail Button.

Tail Button Full Press / Full-press-and-hold Configuration

• When the light is off, while full pressing and holding the Tail Button, long press the SET Button to switch between HIGH and TURBO (Default Setting). Once the desirable output is selected, release both buttons. The light will memorize this setting for both full press and full-press-and-hold of the Tail Button.

Reset to Factory Default

• While in Lockout Mode, half or full press and hold the Engage Button without releasing it. Then, quickly short press the SET Button three times or more. The flashlight will flash three times to confirm that the reset has been successfully completed. Unlock the light to use.

Lockout / Unlock

Lockout (Default Setting)

• When the light is on / off, slide the Lockout Switch (Rapid Lock™) up to access Lockout Mode. The lock icon can be seen below the Lockout Switch (Rapid Lock™). All buttons are unavailable to activate the flashlight in Lockout Mode.

Unlock

• In Lockout Mode, slide down the Lockout Switch (Rapid Lock™) to exit Lockout Mode.

Power Indication

• After the light is on, the green battery indicators will display the remaining battery power and automatically go off after 3 seconds.

Low Power Indication

• When the battery power is below 10%, a green power indicator will flash, while the output may dim or the flashlight may become unresponsive. Please recharge the product or replace the battery as soon as possible.

Enable / Disable Indicators

• When the light is off, while half-pressing and holding the Tail Button, quickly short press the SET Button three times to turn off both the battery indicators and level indicators. To enable the indicators, repeat the same steps.

ATR (Advanced Temperature Regulation)

• The integrated ATR technology regulates the output of the product according to the working condition and ambient environment to maintain the optimal performance.

Maintenance

• Every 6 months, threads should be wiped with a clean cloth followed by a thin coating of silicon-based lubricant.

Warranty Service

• All NITECORE® products are warranted for quality. Any DOA / defective product can be exchanged for a replacement through a local distributor/dealer within 15 days of purchase.
• After that, all defective/malfunctioning NITECORE® products can be repaired free of charge within 60 months from the date of purchase.
• Beyond 60 months, a limited warranty applies, covering the cost of labor and maintenance, but not the cost of accessories or replacement parts.

The warranty will be nullified if

1. the product(s) is/are broken down, reconstructed and/or modified by unauthorized parties.
2. the product(s) is/are damaged due to improper use. (e.g. reversed polarity installation)
3. the product(s) is/are damaged due to battery leakage.
