NICRON B74i Flashlight

Overview

The NICRON B74i is a portable high-performance flashlight with a maximum brightness of 600 lumens.

Quick Setup & Use

1. Battery first use: Insert the 14500 Li-ion battery with the correct orientation (positive terminal facing forwards) and tighten the tail-cap securely.
2. Charging: Open the waterproof rubber plug. Connect a USB Type-C charging cable to the body. The switch indicator light glows red during charging and turns green when fully charged. Unplug the cable and firmly close the waterproof rubber plug.
3. Power on (regular mode): Press the switch once to turn on in Low mode.
4. Change brightness: Press the switch repeatedly to cycle Low → Med → High → Low.
5. Power off: Press and hold the switch for 0.5 seconds from any regular mode.
6. Strobe (hidden mode): From any mode (including off), press and hold the switch for 2 seconds to activate Strobe (600 lm).
7. SOS: In Strobe mode, press the switch once to switch to SOS (600 lm). Press once again to turn the flashlight off.

Product Overview

The NICRON B74i is a portable, high-performance flashlight featuring a maximum brightness of 600 lumens.

Key Design Features

• 90° Twist Head: The flashlight head can be rotated up to 90 degrees to adjust the beam angle.
• 360° Swivel Clip: Features a removable clip that can be rotated 360 degrees to adjust the mounting orientation.

Operating Map

Regular Mode

• Power On: Press the switch once to turn the flashlight on in Low mode.
• Cycle Modes: Press the switch repeatedly to cycle through the brightness levels:
• Low (70 LM) → Med (200 LM) → High (600 LM) → Low (70 LM)
• Power Off: Press and hold the switch for 0.5 seconds from any regular mode.

Blink Mode (Hidden Mode)

• Activate Strobe: From any mode (including when the flashlight is off), press and hold the switch for 2 seconds to activate Strobe (600 LM).
• Activate SOS: Press the switch once while in Strobe mode to switch to SOS (600 LM).
• Power Off: Press the switch once while in SOS mode to turn the flashlight off.

Operating Instructions

1. Power Control: Press the switch to turn the flashlight on. To turn the flashlight off, press and hold the switch for 0.5 seconds.
2. Regular Function: Press the switch to power on. The light will start in Low mode. Press the switch repeatedly to cycle through the modes: Low → Med → High. To turn the light off, press and hold the switch for 0.5 seconds.
3. Hidden Function: From any mode, press and hold the switch for 2 seconds to activate the hidden Strobe mode. Press the switch again to switch to SOS mode. Press the switch once more to turn the flashlight off.
   Charging:
   • Insert the battery into the flashlight, ensuring the correct orientation (positive terminal facing forwards), and tighten the tail-cap securely.
   • Open the waterproof rubber plug on the flashlight body and connect the USB Type-C charging cable.
   • The switch indicator light will glow red to indicate that charging is in progress.
   • When the battery is fully charged, the indicator light will turn green.
   • Unplug the charging cable and firmly close the waterproof rubber plug to maintain the flashlight’s water and dust resistance.

Use and Maintenance

• Do not attempt to disassemble the sealed head components. Doing so may damage the flashlight and will void the warranty.
• Always use high-quality batteries. Remove the battery if the flashlight is to be stored or left unused for an extended period, as battery leakage can damage the device.
• Regularly clean the electrical contacts and surfaces to ensure normal operation, especially if the light begins to flicker or fails to turn on.
• Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed when the flashlight is in use or in storage.

Troubleshooting 

Cause 1: The battery is depleted.

• Solution: Recharge the battery or replace it with a fully charged battery, ensuring the correct polarity.

Cause 2: The threads or printed circuit board (PCB) contacts are dirty.

• Solution: Clean the PCB contacts and screw threads using a cotton swab moistened with rubbing alcohol.

Caution

1. Do not shine the flashlight beam directly into eyes, as this can cause serious eye injury or permanent damage to eyesight.
2. This product is designed to be used exclusively with 14500 Li-ion batteries.
3. Do not dispose of batteries in fire or water. Ensure the correct polarity is observed when inserting the battery.
4. If storing the flashlight for a long period, we recommend charging the battery at least once every three months to prolong its lifespan.
5. Keep batteries out of the reach of children. If a battery is swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
6. Do not use excessive force when twisting the adjustable-angle head.
