Installation Instructions – Define Geo – Ring Suspended with Collector
WARNING
Risk of Fire, Electrical Shock, Cuts or other Casualty Hazards- Installation and maintenance of this product must be performed by a qualified electrician. This product must be installed in accordance with the applicable installation code by a person familiar with the construction and operation of the product and hazards involved.
Risk of Fire and Electric Shock- Make certain power is OFF before starting installation or attempting any maintenance. Disconnect power at fuse or circuit breaker.
Risk of Fire- Minimum 90°C supply conductors.
Risk of Burn- Disconnect power and allow fixture to cool before handling or servicing.
Risk of Personal Injury- Due to sharp edges, handle with care.
Risk of Personal Injury- Do not install this product in locations such as gymnasiums, arenas, sports complexes, multi-purpose rooms and other locations where the fixture potentially will be subject to impacts from external sources. Doing so may result in cracking and/or breaking of the fixture which may cause pieces to fall from the application.
Failure to comply with these instructions may result in death, serious bodily injury and/or property damage.

ATTENTION Receiving Department: Note actual fixture description of any shortage or noticeable damage on delivery receipt. File claim for common carrier (LTL) directly with carrier. Claims for concealed damage must be filed within 15 days of delivery. All damaged material, complete with original packing must be retained.

(1) Mounting Options
A) T-Bar & Grid Clips or B) Junction Box Structure or

A) T-Bar & Grid Clips – On Grid Mounting
- Installation requires a 2-person lift and install
- Locate the mounting point on the T-Bar.
- Pull the three AC cables through the 3 holes on the T-Grid Mounting Plate and Canopy.
- Ensure fixture labels are facing down toward the fixture when installing the mounting plate.
- Power Drop Holes Aligned
- Install the T-Grid clip to the T-Bar and tie back to structure.
- Attach T-Grid Mounting Plate and Canopy to the T-Grid clip using the 1/4”-20 center cap nut.
- At the end of a 4×4 Junction Box, break KO in corner and secure ½” NPT fitting to the box.
- Clip J-Box clip to the T-Bar.
- Secure Junction Box to J-Box clip using ¼-20 bolt.
- Secure snap bushing to Canopy and align up to NPT fitting.
- Install conduit from power source to the Junction Box.
- Feed SJT cord through Canopy and Junction Box, then install metal strain relief.
- Wire following the wiring chart and secure with appropriate wire nuts.
- Cover Junction Box using cover plate.

- For Tegular Ceiling Tile applications use (2) 1/4” washers (included) for spacing between the mounting plate and the ceiling tile.
- For Deep Tegular Ceiling Tile applications use 1/4”-20 nut (included) for spacing between the mounting plate and the ceiling tile.
- T-Grid Clip
- 1/4-20 Nut Used Only in Deep Tegular Ceiling
- (2) 1/4 Washers Used Only in Tegular Ceiling

- 1/4-20 Center Cap Nut
- T-Grid Mounting Plate

- Secure a 4×4 Junction Box to the Structure or Ceiling using appropriate hardware.
- Pull the three AC cables through the 3 holes on the J-Box Mounting Plate and Canopy.
- Power Drop Holes Aligned
- Feed SJT cord through Canopy and J-Box Mounting Plate.
- Wire following the wiring chart and secure with appropriate wire nuts.
- Attach the J-Box Mounting Plate to the Junction Box.
- Secure the Canopy with the 1/4” -20 center cap nut and install strain relief bushing.

- 4″ Octagonal J-Box (by Others) to Stucture or Ceiling wtih Appropriate Hardware
- J-Box Mounting Plate

(2) Install the Collector
- Pull the AC cables and the SJT cord through the holes on the collector.
- Holes for the set screws are on the top side.
- Set Screw Holes
(3) Install Aircraft Cable at Fixture
- Install the grip locks.
- Push aircraft cable through grip locks and adjust to desired height.
(4) Power Drop
- Wire fixture following the wiring chart shown on page 2 and secure with appropriate wire nuts.
- Remove screw and bend tab for additional clearance.
Bend to original position and re-attach screw. - Install strain relief as shown.
(5) Set Collector Height
- Position collector to desired height. Minimum height as shown.

- Install the set screws (Qty 3) and tighten using a 5/64” Hex wrench.

Install the Bottom Diffuser – If Needed
- Wear gloves to keep the diffuser surface clean.
- Peel off the protective film which is on the bottom side of the diffuser.
- Tilt the diffuser and inert into the outer groove.
- Insert the lens gradually (do not force), and follow a clockwise or counterclockwise direction around the fixture until the lens is positioned on both the outer and inner grooves.
Removal of Bottom Diffuser – If Needed
- To remove the bottom diffuser, use a business card to lift out the lens on one side.
- BUSINESS CARD
- Remove the lens gradually (do not force), and follow a clockwise or counterclockwise direction around the fixture until the lens is out of both the outer and inner grooves.
- If the lens ceases to release from grooves, re-install and start over.
- Take your time and don’t force it as the lens can chip the paint on the housing.
