    Question

How do I correct an upside-down image on an NEC projector without a remote control?

    Answer

To correct an upside-down image (often referred to as 'Ceiling' mode) on an NEC projector without a remote, you must use the physical buttons on the projector cabinet to navigate the internal menu. While the Quick Setup Guide focuses on basic adjustments like LENS SHIFT, FOCUS, and ZOOM, you can generally follow these steps:

    • Press the MENU button on the projector cabinet.
    • Use the directional buttons (▲▼◀▶) to navigate to the Setup or Installation menu.
    • Look for an option labeled Orientation, Projector Position, or Ceiling Mount.
    • Change the setting to Front/Ceiling or Rear/Ceiling until the image appears correctly.
    • Press ENTER or MENU to save and exit.

Note: If your specific model lacks a Menu button on the cabinet, you may need to borrow a compatible NEC remote or use a wired LAN/RS-232 connection if the projector supports web control.
