Important Instructions for Camera Installation
If you are fitting this camera in conjunction with the Stinger H10, the only connection you need to make is the RCA cable. The Stinger H10 takes its reverse trigger via the vehicle’s OBD, so you do not need to connect the red or black wires.
Connection Diagram
Follow the diagram to connect the camera:
- Connect the male RCA into the camera socket on the back of the head unit or via the yellow camera RCA flylead at the back of the head unit.
- Route forward to the head unit.
- Power supply for the camera:
- Red: +VE positive wire to reverse light trigger feed
- Black: -VE to Earth/Ground
- Connect the male RCA connector into the female RCA connector.
MUD Piggy Back Loom
If you are using the MUD Piggy Back Loom, follow these instructions:
- Plug the MUD Piggy Back loom into the reverse lamp loom.
- Connect the red/black wires into the red/black wires on the MUD Piggy Back loom. Connect the other end of the Piggy Back loom into the back of the reverse light.
You will now need to route the RCA cable down the length of the vehicle. Connect the fly leads on the RCA cable to the fly leads on the piggy back loom at the end of the RCA cable connected to your head unit. Extend the red and black fly leads from the piggy back loom to the front of the vehicle to connect into the +VE (red) and -VE (black) wires, providing the trigger for the camera.
Camera Loom Details
You’ll notice on the camera loom there are a pair of thin white and a green loop wires:
- The green wire is the ‘Flip Image’ wire. Cutting the green wire will flip the image from a reverse camera image to a forward-facing camera image. The default camera image as supplied is a reverse camera image, so this wire should be left intact.
- The white wire is for the parking lines. If you wish to remove parking lines from the image, cut the white wire.
