[How To] NVIDIA VBIOS Update
To prevent the graphics driver from being installed by Windows Update automatically, please keep network disconnecting during VBIOS update process.
Some anti-virus programs would detect the VBIOS update program as a suspected virus, so please disable anti-virus program, if any.
1. Visit MSI product page to download the latest VBIOS.
2. Disconnect the network.
3. Open the folder where you extracted the VBIOS file, right click on Address bar, and click “Copy address”.
4. Run Command Prompt (Admin).
I. In Windows search area, type “cmd”.
II. Right click on “Command Prompt” and select “Run as administrator”.
5. In Command Prompt, type “cd\” and press Enter to go to C:\>
6. Type “cd” and press “Space bar”. Then, using Ctrl +V to paste the directory of VBIOS file and press Enter key.
7. Type “fvbios” and then press Enter key.
8. Press “y” to confirm VBIOS update.
9. VBIOS update is completed when you see the message “Update successful”. Please close Command prompt window and restart Windows.
