Product Usage Instructions

1. Installation

The TOF Ranging Sensor can be installed using either the
provided sticker or lanyard for convenience.

2. Power On/Off

To power on the sensor, press and hold the designated power
button until the LED indicator lights up. To power off, repeat this
process.

3. Connectivity

The sensor is equipped with Bluetooth technology for
connectivity. Ensure your device’s Bluetooth is enabled and search
for the sensor to pair them.

4. Ranging

To measure distances, aim the sensor at the target object within
the specified range limits. The sensor will provide accurate
distance measurements based on the field-of-view (FOV).

Q: Can the battery be recharged?

A: No, the battery in the TOF Ranging Sensor is replaceable but

2. Product brief
TOF ranging sensor, a Bluetooth Beacon that utilizes Time-of-flight technology to achieve distance measurement by illuminating IR and observing the reflected light bounced off the obstructed objects. It is based on BLE 4.2 and designed to be compact and IP67 waterproof, making it suitable for real-time fill-level monitoring by attaching it to soap dispensers, tissue boxes, or trash cans. It can also be deployed in restrooms for real-time occupancy monitoring, reducing regular maintenance costs. With its 600mAh large battery and periodic working mechanism, the product guarantees a lifespan of more than 3 years, making it the preferred choice for IoT-enabled smart offices, factories and plaza.

5. Basic instructions

5.1 How to power on/off TOF Ranging Sensor?
You can power on/off the TOF Ranging Sensor through the “Hall effect sensor” with below operations: Power ON: Magnet approaching to the place of hall effect sensor icon for more than 3s, then the device will be
power on, along with the LED rapid blinking for 3s. Power OFF: Magnet approaching to the place of hall effect sensor icon for more than 3s, then the device will be
power off, along with the LED sloid for 3s.

5.2 How to restore factory settings?
There have two ways to restore factory settings. Hall effect sensor (Hardware reset): In power off mode, magnet approaching the place of hall effect sensor icon
for 10s or more, then take the magnet away and approach to hall effect sensor again within 2s, device will proceed to factory reset. Inner button (Hardware reset): In power off mode, long press “inner button” for 10s or more, then release button and single press “inner button” again within 2s, device will proceed to factory reset.
