This document provides detailed instructions for the assembly, display, and care of the Legend LF3D046 1/35 scale MK47 Striker 40mm Automatic Grenade Launcher (AGL) model kit with AN/PWG-1 Sight on Tripod. This is a resin model kit intended for experienced modelers. Successful assembly requires careful attention to detail, appropriate tools, and modeling adhesives and paints (not included).

Before beginning assembly, carefully unpack all components and verify that all parts are present. Refer to the parts diagram below for identification. Resin parts may have small amounts of flash or mold lines that need to be carefully removed using a hobby knife or fine sandpaper. Wash all resin parts in warm, soapy water to remove any mold release agents, then rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely.

  2. AGL Body Assembly: Assemble the main components of the 40mm Automatic Grenade Launcher body. Pay close attention to the fit of interlocking parts.
  3. AN/PWG-1 Sight Assembly: Construct the AN/PWG-1 sight unit. Attach it to the designated mounting point on the AGL body.
  4. Ammunition Belt and Box: Assemble the ammunition belt, linking the individual grenade rounds. Place the assembled belt into the ammunition box.
  5. Final Integration: Mount the assembled AGL body onto the tripod. Position the ammunition box and belt as desired.

Use cyanoacrylate (CA) glue, also known as super glue, for bonding resin parts. Apply glue sparingly. Allow sufficient drying time between steps. After assembly, prime the entire model with a suitable primer before painting to ensure paint adhesion and a uniform finish.

Once fully assembled and painted, this model is intended for static display. Handle the finished model with care to prevent damage to delicate parts or paintwork. Avoid dropping the model or subjecting it to impacts. For optimal viewing, place the model on a stable, level surface away from high-traffic areas. Consider a display case to protect it from dust and environmental factors.

To maintain the appearance of your model, regular dusting is recommended. Use a soft, dry brush or a can of compressed air to gently remove dust. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the paint and resin. Keep the model away from direct sunlight, which can cause paint fading, and extreme temperature fluctuations, which may affect the resin material.
