Product Usage Instructions

  1.  Power off all connected devices plugged into the UPS.
  2. Power off the UPS and unplug the UPS power cord from the AC wall outlet.
  3. Remove the Option Slot cover plate from the rear panel of the UPS.
  4. Remove the plastic protection barrier for the coin battery on the card.
  5. Insert the EV-NETCARD-1G card into the option slot and secure with the retaining screws.
  6. Connect an Ethernet cable to the RJ45 network port on the EV-NETCARD-1G card.
  7. Plug the UPS power cord into the AC wall outlet and power on the UPS.
  8. Power on all connected devices plugged into the UPS.
  9. Open a web browser and type in the default IP address 192.168.1.100 in the URL field. If entered correctly, the main page of the user interface will appear.
  10. To configure the IP address and DNS Server IP for the card, use the menu on the left side of the page and select: Configuration > Network.
  11. To set a static IP address, select Manually from the Obtain IP address drop-down menu.
  12. The DNS Server IP can be programmed automatically or manually by selecting either option from the drop-down menu. Once the configuration of the IP address is completed, the card can now be configured.

Note: The EV-NETCARD-1G cards are designed to be hot-swappable, but there is a remote chance that when hot-swapping the EV-NETCARD-1G card that the UPS will shut down. MINUTEMAN recommends following steps 1 through 13 when installing the EV-NETCARD-1G card, but to hot-swap, skip to step number 3 and omit steps 6, 7.

  1. Power off all the connected devices plugged into the UPS.
