Product Usage Instructions

Connection of the APP to the Light Engine

1. Download the Application LED LAMP from the respective app store based on your mobile phone’s operating system.
2. Turn on your phone’s Bluetooth function.
3. Open the APP and grant necessary permissions.
4. Turn on the light engine with APP control function and wait for it to work.
5. For DMX light engines, ensure they are set to Master machines and the remote control function is on.
6. Refresh the App’s home page until the LED BLE icon appears.
7. Click the icon to enter the light engine control interface and let the App search for and connect the light engines automatically.

Remarks for APP Connection

• Do not manually connect Bluetooth to the light engine in mobile settings.
• One mobile phone can control multiple light engines, but each
  light engine can only be connected to one mobile phone at a time.
• Click the icon on the top left to access the Bluetooth connection interface.
• Refrain from repeatedly clicking on the icon to avoid connection issues.

THE APP FOR LIGHT ENGINES

 Connection of the APP to the light engine

1. Download the Application “LED LAMP” in Android market or Google Play for Android mobile phones, or in the Apple Store for Apple mobile phones. The APP could also be downloaded by scanning the following QR code:
   
2. Turn on your phone’s Bluetooth function.
3. Open the APP and grant the appropriate permissions.
4. Turn on the light engine which has APP control function, and wait for the light engine to work.
5. For DMX light engines, make sure they have been set to Master machines, and the remote control function is on.
6. Repeatedly pull down the App’s home page to refresh till the icon of “LED BLE” shows on home page.
7. Click the iconto enter the light engine control interface and the App will search for and connect the light engines automatically. The number below the icon on the top left indicates the number of light engines that are under APP control.

Remarks for APP connection

1. IMPORTANT: Do not try to manually connect Bluetooth to the light engine in the mobile Settings.
2. One mobile phone can connect and control multiple light engines, but one light engine can only be connected to and controlled by one mobile phone at a time.
3. Click the iconon the top left to enter the Bluetooth connection interface.
4. Icon: Grouping the light engines. Clip it, it will turn to white , and APP exits the grouping function.
5. By clicking the icon on the top left, the APP will turn off the connection and refresh the search and connection. The iconis also served to refresh the search and connection.
   IMPORTANT: Repeatedly clicking on the icon will cause the APP fail to restore the Bluetooth connection to light engines. If this happens,
   • Exit the application and reopen it. Click the icon to resume the connection.
   • If the connection is still not restored and there is no number beneath , click to refresh the connection.
6. When Icon is blue , the number of the light engines detected and connected will show at “ALL DEVICES”. By default, the icon is blue.
   • To check the list of light engines connected or to group them, click “user define” and then click “ADD NEW GROUP” at the bottom of the interface. Enter the new group name, for example, “Test”, and press “CONFIRM”. There will be a “Test” group added. Click “Test” Group and then click “Add Device” at the bottom of the interface to check the light engine connection list.
   • More groups could be created if needed. Long press the group name to delete the group.
   • Press the group and then press “Add devices” at the bottom. Click the internal model number to add it in the group. Press “CONFIRM” at the bottom to get back to group interface. The number of the light engine of this group will show below the group name.
   • Press the group name, “Test”, and press “Control”, the following operation of the App will work on the light engines in this group only. In the case of “ALL DEVICES”, the operation will work on all the light engines connected.
7. When the icon is white , the number of the light engines detected will list below. Click the internal code number of the detected light engines, a mark will show in the interface. Press “control” at the bottom, this light engine will be connected and following APP operation will work on them. The detected light engines are not connected automatically when the icon is white.

Operation on the APP

1. Static colors mode
   RGB Interface:
   • For colorful static colors, operate on the “RING” interface; For the pure white color (the white LED in RGBW), operate on DIM interface.
   • On the “Ring” interface, you can select any color from the color ring, RGB values or preset colors.
   • The bottom two rows of the colors are for a quick section. A long press will delete the color.
   •  The brightness could be adjusted.
   • The icon will turn off the light.
2. Preset programs
   Mode Interface:
   • Choose the preset programs from the scrolling list.
   • To recycle a few preset programs, click the  icon “+” on top of the interface to choose an individual program. Each icon “+” could have one program. When finished, click the icon . to run those programs in turn.
   • A long press of the “+” icon will delete the chosen program.
3. Customized effect
   Custom Interface:
   • Edit cycling colors with four effects.
   • Change” and “Cycle” have the same effect of cycling colors.
   • A single click to choose the color, and long press will delete the chosen color.
   • After the colors are chosen, choose one of the four effects. Click “Change” or “Cycle” and the colors will cycle with the particular effect.
4.  Music control
   •  Music Interface:
   • The light engine will change the effect
   • according to the sound and/or music.
   • Choose the color and one of the four effects,  then click the icon to start.
   •  A single clickto choose the color, and a long press will delete the chosen color.
   • Sensitivity: the speed with which a light engine responds to the sound rhythm.
   • Music: The built-in music player which plays music stored inside the phone.
     
5. Twinkle disc speed
   • If the light engine has a twinkle disc, click the icon on the top right on any of the above four interfaces to choose the disc speed.
   • The “Timer” does not work.
   • Choose “K1”, ”K2“, or “K3” to set the twinkle disc speed. If “K3” is chosen, the disc will stop.
   • Click the main interface to get back.
     

 Other Information

At the home interface there are other three icons: “Forum”, “Video” and “Mine”. About the “Mine”,

1. Click the icon “Mine” to enter your account if needed.
2. Click the icon at top right on “Mine” interface to set up the account and choose the language if needed.
3. Check the version of the APP by clicking “About us” on this setting up interface.

Troubleshooting

When the APP fails to connect the light engine:

1. Are the Bluetooth and location functions of the mobile phone system enabled?
   (IMPORTANT: Do not select to connect Bluetooth devices in the phone settings).
2. Is there any other phone nearby that is already connected to the light engine? If so, please disconnect that mobile.
3. Bluetooth has been turned on, but no device has been found. Exit the app and reopen it. If a message prompts to turn on Bluetooth, enable the Bluetooth function in the mobile system.
4.  Is there a Bluetooth device connected to the phone system settings? If so, please disconnect the Bluetooth device, Exit the APP and reopen the app again.
5. Has the light engine set to a Master machine if it is a DMX version? Is the remote control function on?
6.  Is the grouping icon in blue color? If not, click to turn it to blue.
7. The connection still does not work after the above operation, turn off the light engine and turn it back on.
   Then exit the APP and reopen it.
8. If the connection still does not work, uninstall the App and download and install it again. Try again.
