Programming Your First Code

Programming Your First Code AStep 1: Remove the battery cover from the Back Module [Fig-A):
Programming Your First Code BStep 2:  Unlock and keep door open during programming. Locate the C, and S, buttons and the 1-2 switch located under the batteries [Fig-B].
Programming Your First Code CStep 3:  To clear all pre-programmed codes, press and hold the C (Cancel) button for 10 seconds until you hear two beeps [Fig-C]

Step 4:  Choose a code in your mind between 2-8 digits. Push the S (set) button [Fig-DJ and quickly (within 5 seconds)…
Programming Your First Code E… type in your code and push theUnlock Symbol(unlock) button on the keypad. [Fig-E]

Left/Right Handed Setting Set to “1” for Right Handed Door Set to “2” for Left Handed Door wront setting will cause the lock to work in reverse

Programming Additional Codes

Follow steps  2 and 4 above. You may add up to 6 user codes.
NOTE: Check your code by pushing the [rd (lock) button on the keypad; it should lock.  Then type in your code and push (f(unlock); your lock should unlock.

You don’t need  a code  to LOCK; just press the [ (lock) button

Deleting codes

  • To delete all codes· Press and hold the C (cancel) button until you hear 2 beeps (may take up to 1 O seconds) [Fig-CJ
  • To delete individual codes: Press and release the C (cancel) button, listen for one beep [Fig-CJ, enter the code you want to delete on the keypad, then press the m’ (unlock) button [Fig-El

Operating instructions

  • TO LOCK:
    Press the Lock Button (Lock Button)  on the keypad.
  • TO UNLOCK:
    Enter your code, then press the Unlock Button (Unlock Symbol) on the keypad.
  • TO LIGHT KEYPAD: Push the “Mi” logo button at top of keypad.

Note: To enable the keypad lock functions you will first need to program your new lock.

Mi Products Corporation warrants to the original residential user of this product that it will be free from defects in materials and workmanship,  under normal use, for 1   year from the date of purchase.  User must provide a copy of original purchase receipt. This Warranty Does Not Cover abuse or misused products or products used in commercial applications. All mechanical components carry a limited warranty, for a period of 25 years from the date of purchase. The Finish of the exterior of this lock carries a limited warranty of the lifetime of the unit against deterioration due to normal weather conditions. This warranty does not apply to locks that have been improperly installed, modified,  put to a use other than designed, or subjected to acts of God (such as floods, lightning, earthquakes, etc.) This warranty is limited to repairing or replacing of this lock only at MiProducts Corporation’s sole discretion.  MiProducts Corporation will NOT be liable for the cost of installing, removing,  nor reinstalling this product, nor direct,  indirect, or consequential damages to persons or property resulting from the use of this product.

To implement this warranty, please enclose a copy of your purchase receipt, contact phone number, and a check or money order of $10 if shipping to US,  $20 if shipping to Canada.   Please inquire for shipping to other territories.

    How can I unlock my MiLock if the batteries are dead and I have lost the physical key?

    Answer

    Unfortunately, if the batteries are completely dead and you do not have the physical backup key, there is no electronic way to trigger the unlock mechanism from the outside. MiLocks do not typically feature external emergency power jump-start terminals (like some newer smart locks that use a 9V battery).

    In this situation, your options are limited to the following:

    • Contact a Locksmith: A professional locksmith can pick the cylinder or use specialized tools to gain entry without damaging the door.
    • Check Other Entrances: Ensure there is no other way into the property to access the back of the lock, where you can replace the 4 AA batteries.
    • Contact MiLocks Support: You can try calling their help hotline at 1-800-355-0157 to see if they can provide a replacement key based on a key code (if visible on the lock cylinder) or offer further technical advice.

    Once you regain entry, please replace the batteries immediately and ensure you keep a backup key in a secure location outside of the locked room or building to prevent future lockouts.
