About Token manuals on Manuals.plus
Token is a technology provider focused on simplifying and securing digital identity through biometric authentication. The company's flagship products, the Token Ring and Token BioStick, are designed to replace passwords and traditional keys with a unified, fingerprint-activated credential. These devices utilize FIDO2-compliant security, combining biometrics with Near Field Communication (NFC) and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to allow users to log in to computers, authenticate payments, and access secure physical locations seamlessly.
Token's wearable solutions store credentials in a dedicated Secure Element, ensuring that biometric data never leaves the device. With features like easy fingerprint enrollment via a companion app and compatibility with major operating systems like Windows and macOS (via the Token Desktop Utility), Token aims to provide the strongest multi-factor authentication (MFA) with maximum user convenience.

Why does my Token Ring show as 'Not connected' in Bluetooth settings?
This is normal behavior. Token authenticators only broadcast Bluetooth when interacted with and for short durations (20-30 seconds). Most devices do not update their status quickly enough to show 'Connected' continuously.
-
How do I pair my Token device with a Windows computer?
Navigate to the Bluetooth settings on your PC. Double-tap the fingerprint sensor on your Token device to enter pairing mode (indicated by flashing blue/red lights), then select the device (labelled TR3-#####) from the list and enter your PIN found in the packaging.
-
What do the LED indicators mean on the Token Ring?
Solid white indicates the device is ready to scan a fingerprint. Two green blinks indicate successful authentication. Two red blinks mean the fingerprint was not recognized. A rainbow pattern indicates the device is charging.
-
Does the Token Ring work with Mac computers?
Yes, but Mac does not natively support FIDO authentication over Bluetooth. Mac users should download the Token Desktop Utility from the Mac App Store to enable functionality and complete setup.
