  • How do I reset my AcuRite weather sensor?

To perform a hard reset: Bring the sensor and display unit together. Remove batteries from both units. Wait at least one minute. Reinstall batteries in the display unit first, then in the outdoor sensor. Allow them to synchronize for a few minutes.

  • What type of batteries should I use in AcuRite products?

AcuRite recommends high-quality alkaline batteries for best performance. For outdoor sensors in temperatures below -4°F (-20°C), lithium batteries are recommended to ensure function in cold conditions. Do not use heavy-duty or rechargeable batteries.

  • Where should I place my outdoor sensor?

Mount the sensor at least 5 feet off the ground, away from heat sources and direct rain/sprinkler obstructions if possible. For accurate temperature, place it in a shaded area with good airflow. Ensure it is within wireless range of the display unit.
